Kunos Simulazioni has officially released the 1.1 update along with the long-awaited Dream Pack DLC for Assetto Corsa.

The 1.1 update weights, rather fittingly, 1.1GB, and brings several improvements to one of the most popular simulators around.

The press release lists, most notably, improvements to the graphics department (particularly in terms of optimization and post-processing effects) and to the game's AI.

Can anyone please explain to me what the "Added custom head movements per car (driver3d.ini)" means? I played this yesterday for a bit and was hoping to get something along the lines of look to apex. It just seems odd how you can lock your vision to the horizon (vertical head movement) but no way to have head movements look to the left/right.

I finally got my Sauber :). A lot of areas of the game need improvement/fixing still, but for hotlapping it's fine although I wish it was more than just that.

Quite a handful when you need to go around slower corners or twisty bits. In the C9 and 787B I lap Spa in 2:13 despite the 787B being grossly outmatched in the speed department.

... I can't wait to see a mod from the greatest sim racing modder, mr. kimmo. (don't bother asking me to make one, cause I know I don't have the talent nor knowledge). But you, you are a great modder who is capable of doing better content than kunos ever dreamed with. The modding tools from kunos are the same for everyone, so take advantage of the high quality shaders and physics, and give us perfect modded content.

But yea, we won't see that, since you're still advertising how great content you did 10 years ago.. now that a sim racing game that comes with better graphics and great physics.. you stay put and unjustifiably criticize the work of others.

That's me!

Hi, i must say that this week I made a decision to never create anything for AC, not scratch build not conversions, just nothing. So if you see my work in AC so it's illegal. It seems that this AC is worst than rFactor 1, it's like somebodys hobby and far away from pro simulator. Ugh!

I'm happy for you man. Does this mean you will no longer post in the AC forum?

Yep easy way out. After seeing all his accusations to Kunos cancelled out, he must retreat with the tail between his legs.

Good job kimmo.

AC 1.1 is really good. Huge update from 1.0. The sound is noticably better. All of a sudden i'm getting 300fps at the same graphics settings (mid 80's before 1.1) All the new cars were done extremely well, but that P1 is truely spectacular. It is easy to see from the DLC and 1.1 update how passionate the development team is over at kuno's. 5/5 stars.

Kimmo get lost. you are entitled to your opinion but you are out of control. Your remarks are really unnecessary

I have already gone but you seem to miss me. I'll add that the next time I turn on Steam so Assetto Corsa leaves the machine and does not come back. rFactor 1 was similar than AC, I never found it as good enough for me. At first AC looks ok but after this week I can not even start the game because I am afraid that the whole machine goes crazy.

So The DreamPack 1.1 was more like a Nightmare Pack 6.6.6, thank God they didn't released it yesterday Friday 13th LOL

Do not mention my name in this connection, do not ask me anything so I stay away, thank you!

Yours!
SimbinMan

Optimum = 100% grip. So these are perfect conditions which will not occur in real world. You should set Old + 15*C (it's most real and average temp for Nurburgring as Aris wrote in AC forums - even during hot August) and road tires on both LaF and P1 as trofeo tires are actually slick tires.
Then try to do 6:40 in P1 or LaF ;-)
The Pirelli Trofeo R is the optional tire on the P1 (and i assume on the LaFerrari as well), it's a slick with minimum cuts, but it's legal...

chuffed, best £7.33 spent. core game still being worked on but it's gradually improving improving. good stuff.
colours do look too bright, as already mentioned.

thought f1 gtr would be quicker - seems way slower than the 458gt2 around spa for example, which surprised me. still a cracking model.

There are issues with the filters on the Post-Processing side. For some turning on Post-Processing makes everything bright, over-blown and white (as if everything is covered in frost). They are working on this and the fix may tone down the brightness for you as well. However, since they have fixed it so I can run in DSR while having SLI enabled, the Post-Processing takes too much of frame rate toll. So at the moment I don't miss it (unless I drop down to native 1080p).

Note: Holding down Page Down or Page Up will allow you to adjust the contrast. May want to play with that to tone down the brightness.

You are terribly informed <mod edit>

sema-2014-pirellis-p-zero-line-street-track.jpg

These are Trofeo R's, pretty extreme, barely any thread, but legal for road use.

In this video here you can see the difference between a P1 running Pzero Corsa's and on Trofeo's (which is the optional tire whether you like it or not <mod edit>).

<mod note: There's no need to speak to other members like that>
Again, far from a slick still. <mod edit>
