wcextra2 material

if you add this one to your car using the naming xxxxxextra2.dds you will have the same color like the mesh around... you also can recolor it to blue, green whatever you want

the grey mesh isnt a wc material so you cant change it

There's a semi-fictional one right here: http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/paint-montana-carset.11213/
The drivers' name and number were kept, but the paints are fictional, based on famous brands (from Brazil and overseas). Looks very very nice!

But a full 2012 season would be incredible, too:

Oh, I missed that. Thank you. I'm always grateful that modders put in the time and effort to improve a sim. Downloading now!

Agreed, an authentic 2012 (or any season) skin pack would be great. But at least this means we can pretend that Automobilista isn't perfect. ;)

Alright guys, I'm having buckets of troubles. I'm trying to get an old rFactor 1 mod working for AMS, but all of the car skins are ultra shiny. Using GIMP and the DDS plug in, what do I have to do to fix this?

Thanks! -Dan

That's the part that's confusing me. All my experience with skins (years and years ago) was with separate files for the Alpha Channel.

Now, using Gimp, it seems setting an "Alpha" channel in that program enables / disables a transparent background. So what tools / processes do I have to use to do this? Do I create a layer Mask? With Black instead of White? Then flatten it? What compression to I then use? BC3 / DXT5?

Again, thanks for the help.

Hi, sorry for using this thread, but you are the right people for that.

After last update the SuperV8 mod skins dont work anymore.
He says: Error loading mesh file "UNKNOWN TOKEN STWHEELB" to memory.

I think its a Cockpit selection theme.. Some updates before was the same, but with a cockpit.ini and genstring parameter (veh file) i could fix it. Dont work anymore.

What he need it today ?
