Alright when was that again.....?

So looking forward to next year already. And the hang over of last week is a bit hard to get over with. This race looks like another one of those weekend, whatever happened the whole season.

I'd like to hear news about drivers and what teams they will be driving for next year. I know It's all pretty much galvanized by now, but at least I want Mazepin to be gone before he starts. I'd like Sergio to get a seat. Maybe at Williams... Hahaha... I hope Russell gets a decent seat, maybe Red Bull likes young drivers, I hope they can somehow pirate him, rather than an old dog. I hope Russell realizes that his long time crush at Mercedes, and had a one night stand with is a battered **** already when he gets his chance.

Nah, Mazepin needs to stay. Women need to learn how to pick better quality men.

Lewis has said it in recent years. He knows it’s not fun to watch.
Lewis may have said but does he mean it :)

I think that every race driver enjoy racing, but some just want to be stars like Lewis (or maybe it is Toto), so those guys does not share joy of racing with other drivers, they just wanna win no matter how it happens (doping), I believe Lewis is that kind of person. Myself I like tight races, it doesn’t matter who wins.

Well that mazepin situation.. i watched the video not knowing if it was the censured one or not but

A girl that put a finger that way in here own mouth well thats the international sign for you know what.

It looked like a intro of free internet P - site video.

If people told me it was trump or some other guy.. i could not see if it was mazepin or somebody else only thing i saw in the video i saw was the girl and a hand.. nothing more

That's only partially true. As with many of those "stars" raising awarness, it's quite evident that they follow a very selective way of "making a statement". The call for equality gets alot more quiet as soon as it starts to deminish their returns. Best example is Lewis hamilton demanding 40 Mio. a year because he thinks that he is so important that he deserves it. How about trying to equalize wellfare in the fight against poverty with those 40 Mio., to let's say keep the people in the factories afloat who have to deal with wage cut during this pandemic? You can feed alot of people with 40 Mio.

But as usual, now the neo liberal hardliners will call me a Commi ... :p

You make some good points but that's a huge subject ,capitalism vs socialism vs communism and in fairness.
I'm not sure it's fair to beat up on one individual sportsman about it, plus you never (or should never) know what good they may be quietly doing with it. Plus if we are paying to watch it we are part of the problem.

Russell back duking it out with Latifi and the back markers....
Knowing now (what most sensible knew already) that in the Merc he could be at the front battling with Bottas and Ham.... its such a waste to have such an un level playing field.
Not saying every car should be equal, but Williams is 3 secs slower than the Merc over 1 lap.

Just rubbish really, how can this be considered a sport where we chose the best driver?

(I mean i know its not, its a constructors championship and always has been)

If you know it's always been like that, why complain? :D

There are enough single seaters specs series to watch and even there teams are not equal in reality.
The other series are poorly documented, therefore you can't emotionally invest in them, so no one cares. F1 has great footage and journalist who cover every race, practices and who said what to whom. This is what people want, it's like a theater play. And currently W11 is the villain.

Actually I have not seen the video, I only heard the news about it. What on what I heard I concluded a simple truth. Quality women pick quality men - so that's that.

Kind of telling that Haas is picking Mazepin. Haas is at the bottom.

What mr LeSunTzu says.. always been like that.. only the problem now is that people

getting tired of this show seven years is long .. seven years in F1 is very long. they should have done something about that.

I haven't seen the video of Marzepin either .. actually I don't care that much .. they are young but he will have to be careful when he is in F1, everything will be enlarged. Respecting women in any case will help

Totally agree with that, FIA/F1 used to change the rules to reshuffle the field more often than that.

Sorry but IndyCar is well covered, to only name it, with lots of interesting figures in the sport, and in F1 Hamilton is the hero of the people (not just F1 snobs). See the disaster when he's not there! :D

IndyCar is that americanized bullshit show "OMG he is overtaking, OMG have you seen this, unbelieveble, he is making a left turn." We want classic euro racing with gentlemen manners -1980 to 1990 F1 that is.

Why complain? Why did Lewis complain when Red bull and Vettel were making him look stupid?

It's because Russell can be at the front in the Merc, but at the back in the Williams.
It would be quite cool to see it a bit closer, this weekend we now know we are robbed of a driver capable of running at the front banished to the back to fumble about till his car breaks.

No, but it wasn't his fault and looked like he was going to - he didn't throw it away on his own.

I really didn't expect Russell to be as quick as he was - solid for sure but I figured Bottas would be handily faster having been in the car all season. Nope.

I like Bottas, he's clearly quick, seems a decent guy, and once in a while is the man to beat. But... after 4 years in the best car in the field he has what, 10 wins? Nothing to scoff at surely but that's an average season's total for Hamilton in the same car. I'm rooting for him, but at this point I'm about done hoping he's the guy to truly challenge Lewis for the crown within Mercedes.

After last weekend, I want to see what George Russell can do vs Hamilton on a level playing field over a couple of seasons. I'm not particularly a Hamilton fan, nor am I against him. I just want to see an actual persistent challenge and fight for the championship that goes down to the end and isn't wrapped up a month before season is over. Between multiple teams would be even better but please at least within ONE team is more interesting than this.

For this weekend's race, I predict Hamilton will be ever so slightly off peak and Bottas will be headed for victory. Until a cargo plan flying over the circuit inexplicably drops a load of ball bearings onto the last corner, on the last lap, just in time for Bottas to run into them and slide off track, opening the door for Hamilton to win again.
Your premise is that anyone could win in that car doesn't take into account you have to be lucky also. It ain't just the car. Stop saying that or they will send the bad boyz after you.

And we weren't in 2001 when Alonso was hustling that Minardi? The gap between the cars used to be much bigger. Now it's around two seconds from top to bottom, Minardi was sometimes five seconds off. It's as if some people here started watching F1 yesterday. The only reason we sometimes saw a bad team get points in the past was due to cars being more unreliable.

The "meaning" of words isn't opinion though is it?

"Greatest of all time" isn't a word
"One of the greatest of all time" is perfectly correct use of English.
You may not like its use but that's your issue and doesn't make it wrong.

Indeed, for some reason they seem loath to do that to Mercedes/Lewis. Add in the instant dominance Mercedes had at the start of the Hybrid era and I do smell a rat sometimes.

Aren't they stabilising things to keep costs down and allow lower teams time to understand the current rules and catch up.
It's stated all the time, should be common knowledge.
