AC Alfa Romeo GTAm/Ford Escort RS1600 @ Battenbergring - Tue 5th Sept 2023

Assetto Corsa Racing Club event
I tried the diff at 70, it was help full Robert, but it was countered by seemingly making the rear more stodgy , I find 50 or 60 to be best overall compromise.:)

The track is new to me and I need over 5 min for a safe round (Alfa). It would also take to much time to practice, as it is quite long. I'll skip that.

My technic is fingers crossed and continually breath a sigh of relief when I get through a corner.
To not joke, :whistling: the only time I notice any drifting is when I look at the replay, in the car I see now’t, feel now’t sense now’t..
It is known as the feeling f**k all racing technique.

Sorry guys, I was tired and made more mistakes than usual..I pushed a bit too hard in the village part and crashed out. Not easy to turn the car around there.. Sorry. Over half way through the race AC crashed. That did not happen in a looong time. Crashed in VR code it seems :( Too bad, the racing is always good around here. Allan was too quick for me here, but should have been P2 without the mistakes.

Only one thing interested me tonight, staying on the track, managed no off’s and never look like I was going off.:):)
So very pleased, the only negative was hearing the lotus 25 being put forward as a racing option.:(
Pleasure racing everyone I was around, no problems, everyone was very fair. And special well done to Alan, cracking time.:thumbsup:
PS, my setup from Goodwood helped me a lot too, double pleased.:)
PS2 cracking time from Jason too, I can see why he is quicker, at least than me, he was on the ragged edge. Luckily for me he was over the edge on the last lap.:roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

Thanks for everyone who joined last night. It needed a bit of practice commitment to get a fast time. I managed a reasonable time but too many errors saw me at the back. Having a baking hot rig room didn't help my concentration!

A slightly easier track next week as we're off to a 1967 version of the Sachsenring in the same cars...

Hope you can join

Colin, I will probably start with the Fat-Alfie championship in the first week of October. Have you already decided on the cars to use for your championship?

Great racing guys, these cars are point for the tracks put forward.Shame @cerebralvortex was,nt at his best, could have made for some good racing,The 1st 2 laps were quite intense,an hour would have been insane..Onto the next 1,see whats in store there..Thanks for hosting Colin,a cracking job..See if we can get a few more numbers up..

Yeah, I was thinking not to race actually as I was tired, only had practiced 6 laps and had no real setup..
