AC Advanced Driver Academy - Mon 12Feb18

Assetto Corsa Racing Club event

I think I've missed the boat... again! But if there is room on the reserves please pop me on there :)

Just a quick question:
Will those academies be always that late?
23:00 CET and lasting 90 minutes, that's pretty tough for somebody getting up at 06:40 and being used to 8 hours of sleep :)

I'm sure many will actually be very happy with such a late start, but i'd really love to get some hand-holding when it comes to setting up the car, but i'd literally have to take a day off to take part.

With limited space we are asking everyone to work together to allow others to take part. Here are a few things you can do to help us:
  • If you were in the last academy, please do not sign up for this one unless spots are available the day of the academy.
  • Make sure you have the DLC for this event.
  • If you sign up, please show up. If you can't make it, we expect you to sign out to make room for others. Failure to do so will make you ineligible for the next Academy.
  • Read the Club Rules and make sure you have your real name showing up in game and on teamspeak.
  • Password for the Academy server will be given out on teamspeak. Please be sure to be on time so we can go forward in a timely manner.
  • Have fun:)
Our Format will be as follows:

Introduction
  • Question and answer session regarding Teamspeak and Asseto Corsa Game Settings. Please no wheel settings questions as that would eat up a lot of time and there are plenty of tutorials on the internet for this.
  • Driving lines brief synopsis.
  • Do a few laps following Jeremy. Please no passing. That will happen later:)
  • Class goes out to drive in 5-10 second intervals. Q&A afterwards.
  • Setup basics. Go over the order in which we start dialing it in ie Tires first and why
  • Start building a setup
  • Class goes back out to try the new settings to see how it feels. Q&A afterwards.
  • Repeat setup and tweaking.
  • Class goes out for 10 minute race.
  • Final Q & A. Class dismissed.
End of Session

The academy start time for EU is based on the EU club race times. Considering both instructors are actually in the US it's quite early in the day for us. I understand that the time is not ideal for everyone, but it would be impossible to make it so.

Entry and reserve lists are now full. Anyone who did not get in, you will have another chance on 26FEB18. Thank you all for making this a huge hit!

Didn't know the hosts are from the US, that explains quite a few things :)

EU clubs usually end before 22:45 CET.
But all is good, i understand now why those academies start that late and although i can't participate i want to thank you guys to somehow stuff those sessions in your schedule.

Just an FYI. I had a typo in the original post regarding the start time. This has been corrected to reflect the normal start times for EU Events which is 20:00GMT. I apologize for any inconvenience or confusion this has caused. Thank you for understanding.
