Marco Massarutto has confirmed more Assetto Corsa Competizione news will be coming in the next weeks during this latest interview with technology giants Nvidia...

During the brief interview video with Nvidia presenter Julian Huguet recently, Kunos Simulazioni Co-Founder Marco Massarutto has revealed some interesting insight into the highly anticipated new title from the makers of Assetto Corsa, including confirmation that the studio continue to target a "late summer" 2018 Early Access release date, and going on to mention that more news about the new simulation should be revealed in the next few weeks.

Already we've seen quite a bit of footage from ACC thanks to the various launch and reveal events around the world, and again this latest interview with Nvidia gives players another glimpse at what promises to be a highly polished visual treat, building on the already exceptionally solid foundations of Assetto Corsa as the Italian team move to the powerful Unreal 4 game engine - a first for the studio and yet another notable developer making use of this mightily potent engine for a sim racing game.

Sit back and enjoy the new footage as we continue to eagerly await more news about ACC in the coming days and weeks...

Assetto Corsa Competizione should be available on Steam Early Access Summer 2018.

Thats funny, because I've been iRacing for many years and now looking forward to ACC for hopefully some great AI racing, as well as iRacing implementing AI into the game soon.
The most enjoyment I've ever had from sim racing was GTR1 and 2, Properly structured series is the way to go, with good AI. If I could get VR in GTR2, I would still be playing it.
I think I'm done with racing humans, hopefully ACC is the ducks nuts.
You playing iracing and your done playing whit human?
It's me, or this sounds controversial:whistling:

If you choose to quote me least make an effort to reply with something that is somehow related to what you are quoting.
Well if your going to reply why not reply with something that actually helps and give us information we dont have instead of just stirring the pot !
Like grids will be unlimited and VR is working ready for EA released next week and a 1080Ti will run ACC in VR at 90 fps maxed !

because I don't have those info yet and I find pretty amusing to see so many people acting as they do. :)

As for the specific topic of AI number of opponents... work and optimization are happening and will be happening until the last day of development of ACC. Sadly, as always, working on stuff does not guarantee any tangible results so the number of AI will be the best we can achieve at the time of release.
Similar considerations are valid for number of multiplayer supported cars.

Optimization? That will never happen to an Unreal Engine 4 game, because it is so poorly made that almost no optimization can be applied to the game made with it.
You want everything rendered in real-time? Just look at those already released games made in the same way, don't say I didn't warn you.

Also about VR racing... I will never be able to understand what's so amusing sitting there with a set of goggles stick on your face, does it look THAT wonderful?? You can see nothing but the game itself, is that a part of "fun"?

Why not just buy a TrackIR and enjoy the game in the same way - with almost quarter of the cost of a VR-ready rig.

It's not about wonderful, it's about you are totally in the game.
Ever looked up or left/right to far with TrackIr and you see... your ceiling, room, rig.
With those goggles you see the car your are driving in, all in real 3D.
Resolution is still not fully there, but the new generation is getting there soon.

Questions: Can i pick a car, a track, set weather, time, amount of laps, pitstop preferences, AI difficulty by a percentage slider?
During practice i want to change a control setting. Can i press escape and choose for options or do i have to close down the session, going back to the main menu?

Don't let it get it get to you .it's called work in progress (i for one have some slight understanding and apreciation for the vast amounts of work you guys will be fighting with right now) and I know for sure you guys will be working hard on this until the second the EA gos live.

It amazes me still that people think there is a magic optimization workflow that you just implement and the games works perfectly for every conceivable pc config in the universe

When did the world become so entitled!?

Keep up the good work. There are lots of us out there that appreciate it

Mate , i did the TrackIR thing before (well before) i even thought about VR and it just isn't as good as i hoped it would be and i sold it within about 6 months :(
I also put off getting my Rift until last December (not because of cost but i heard of bad resolution) but in December the temptation just became too great and i started searching for any VR near me to test and the minute i put on a WMR Acer HMD i was sold on just the feel of being inside the world .
The sweet spot was so bad on that HMD that i continued my pursuit and settled on the Rift .
I bought it without even trying it and have ever since been kicking myself for waiting so long to buy it !
I will be getting every "next gen" VR (not a half step like Vive pro) until i die .
It is just that good and until you try it (which i must say , YOU MUST) you just wont get it .
