Marco Massarutto has confirmed more Assetto Corsa Competizione news will be coming in the next weeks during this latest interview with technology giants Nvidia...

During the brief interview video with Nvidia presenter Julian Huguet recently, Kunos Simulazioni Co-Founder Marco Massarutto has revealed some interesting insight into the highly anticipated new title from the makers of Assetto Corsa, including confirmation that the studio continue to target a "late summer" 2018 Early Access release date, and going on to mention that more news about the new simulation should be revealed in the next few weeks.

Already we've seen quite a bit of footage from ACC thanks to the various launch and reveal events around the world, and again this latest interview with Nvidia gives players another glimpse at what promises to be a highly polished visual treat, building on the already exceptionally solid foundations of Assetto Corsa as the Italian team move to the powerful Unreal 4 game engine - a first for the studio and yet another notable developer making use of this mightily potent engine for a sim racing game.

Sit back and enjoy the new footage as we continue to eagerly await more news about ACC in the coming days and weeks...

Assetto Corsa Competizione should be available on Steam Early Access Summer 2018.

In the video there seemed to be a lot of talk about 'Gamepads'...'Making it easy for the casual gamers'....hope it's not going to be just another GT or Forza physics based simulation....also hoping the Hardcore Sim Racers will not be forgotten with steering wheels and high end peripherals etc....other than that it looks outstanding.

it is improved AC physics ..they only need to focus on 2 type of tyres and few cars .. I wouldnt worry about GT or Forza physics
You still need good gamepad support to sell ..

Ignore the game-pads, that's for investors and marketing bull. Sounds good on the CV.

OK, Get's down on both knees, ignores the arthritis, will definitely require help to stand up again. Prays to the Lord Kunos. Do not FUDGE this up. We the Sim racers implore you, make it hardcore.

Do not make it kiddie friendly they have xbox + Forza and ps4 + GT Sport and ooh game pads...ooh I feel dirty now. I said game pad on a sim site sorry.

Quick pass me the VR head set and the groinal implant.......What Youporn is blocked...damn ;-)

optimization is a joke

When have you ever seen a simulation mentioned in Nvida driver " what's new" ( I did not say Forza or Shift )

It's a joke, they don't give a flying pig about fixing bugs when it comes to proper driving titles

My only issue is the 21 car limit which is extremely saddening to see. Can't simulate just half the grid of a real race...(atleast in the endurance cup)
for sprint it is just fine but wonder if in endurance as field spreads you might get into "Im basicaly hotlapping for few hours situation" .. but perhaps it is not gonna be an issue ..

Did you listen to what he says? He said that they want to entice the more casual gamer into simulation by offering good tutorial on how to drive rather than dumb the game down.

But there is one little thing wich also has my greatest attention: I preordered my Fanatec DD Wheel Base 2 yesterday. So i would say im going fu***** nuts in the next few months.
We want a detailed review on that lovely piece of hardware :inlove:
Lucky you, I'm fed up of my "ancient" steering wheel...:roflmao: I need a new one, but a 1.000€ just for the base is terrifying. It's also frightening to think if my old GTX 980 OC will be able to run smooth ACC with all maxed out.

Can't wait to see ACC moving on my PC. Tomorrow I'm going to buy a new heatsink Noctua NH-U9S, otherwise I'm risking to cook my CPU :D

I thought it was 1500?

Few things from that video.
We obviously know that EA starts by end of summer
In a few weeks they'll have information regarding a full release date
The in game footage looks incredible in 4K
And finally, does the ass end of that Porsche @1:07 say "See you in Hell" ???
Ha, I've never seen that livery.

@natedogg1867

You free to disagree ;) but show me a single optimization/fix for ANY sim in ANY Nvidia driver release notes or AMD for that matter

There is none and they don't care because shooters and other genres sell more

Good job ignoring the existence of Project Cars franchise.

Both are Nvidia sponsored titles and the 2nd one even got a specific 'game ready driver' release from Nvidia.

Of course, that doesnt fit your narrative though...

Don´t Worry, one of the "devs" answered me that question in a gameplay video (i did some research of his name) and he said that 21 cars is not the grid limit, because there´s plenty of cars unfinished. But, the point is that is going to be higher (he didn´t tell me any number) and the number of cars will be determinated by the track.
