ACC: Multiplayer Fixes on Route - Online Servers Down

Kunos confirm multiplayer fixes are on the way, online servers temporarily disabled.

Assetto Corsa Competizione release three brought plenty of new goodies, including a very basic first pass at multiplayer, however it seems like some unintended problems have arisen that has led Kunos Simulazioni to remove server access until the end of the coming weekend.

As can be expected with such a sizable new build, on a game engine brand new to the development team, these sorts of issues can very easily arise and cause more issues than initially expected. What is good news is that Kunos have acknowledged the issues, and appear to be hard at work making the appropriate adjustments to the title as they strive to achieve a more stable and performance friendly build version.

Dear ACC racers, we're looking after you...

We finally released the 0.3 release of our Steam Early Access programme for Assetto Corsa Competizione on schedule, including the Practice Session in Multiplayer mode, which allows us to stress test our systems as a first step of the multiplayer experience we are building.

You can probably imagine how much stability difference there is when moving from a reasonable amount of beta testers to thousands of simultaneous players: nothing unexpected on our side.

Here at KUNOS, developers have been working on the server backend since the night of the release, and we would like to ask for your patience regarding some global server downtime until the end of the weekend, while we will keep tuning the system to give more stability for your Multiplayer racing experience.

Online multiplayer is expected to return to the title from next week, however please be prepared for further delays if the studio believe it necessary in order to get to the bottom of the current issues.

Assetto Corsa Competizione is available on Steam Early Access now.

A first taste of ACC 0.3 EA today makes me wonder. It runs smooth, nice and Deadzone is fixed - I complain this a lot with other guys, DZ now works fine but I‘m banned from Kunos Forum :roflmao: nm -> mission complete!

Have also fun you lovley simmer folk and don‘t forget to post the important things here on the free and undependend RD pages.

Well, I think ACC is doing pretty well, although it still doesn't have TrackIR support but already has VR support. For an Early Access game, I'm very pleased with what I'm seeing.
Yesterday did two 30 min races on new circuit and it was a blast (too bad the AI is still ramming, may have to adjust aggression, but I guess it mimics what we see on MP races anyway) :D

Considering how much we still have to go before even a Beta status, all things point to a bright future for this title.

I'm just disappointed with what Kunos is pulling off. Presumably those bribed by Nvidia were to sell RTX

I don't have VR, nor triple-screen, nor RTX and I'm enjoying ACC quite a bit. Obviously that doesn't make me salty cause ACC is not delivering the exact thing that some nichemarket of the already quite niche market of simracers wants raaight naow!.

I'm just enjoying the game, just like FO76, another game that is being hated upon by people who can't read the label and just hate for the sake of hating.

Being dissapointed is another thing, but it never was going to be more than a Blancpain game, so if your expectations were more than that you just misread the label.

You have just expected something different from Kunos, maybe that's why some are pissed off?
If I had to judge a game as "deceased", I would wait to see how the final version is, first.
People who buy an Early Access should be aware of the possibility the state of game they play, ain't exactly what they would expect it to be, wrongly thinking it's almost finished just because the graphics look good. We are public paying betatesters, but at least we can achieve three objectives:
1) test the game before the release date, give a direct feedback and see the improvements.
2) help the devs to solve the issues faster and release the 1.0 version with as less bugs as possible.
3) we pay the half of the price for the game.
