1.44 is the best for performance.
Left eye missing some lights at night bug happens only on some tracks like Shutoko revival. 1.50 is reported to fix that, for everyone.

1.48 fixed that bug for me too but I might check 1.50 out and roll back to .48 if it affects performance like you say it does.
