But for me, nothing beats the F1 cars of 1989-1994... They look so simple compared to now, of course, but those cars were a handful to drive! :geek:
1989-1995 for sounds, and 1989-1997 for looks. Reason being because 95-97 had a nice wide look to them (possibly wider than previous years??) although definitely not as beautiful as earlier cars like you mentioned.

Imagine the 1991 Jordan with Ferrari livery :inlove:

That 1991 Jordan was one of the most beautiful race cars I've ever seen. And it was pretty fast too!

I agree with you about the cars of 1995-97. The 1995 Pacific was beautiful... but sadly, very slow!
 
I still remember the rain masterclass Nico Hulkenberg did in torrential Malaysia from the 2006-2007 season. If one needs reminding of how good Nico is (was), that one race would be a good choice.
