Now that was a fun idea @JeffL . I'll join in.

Interesting lists of cars.

To be honest I never understood the attraction of going through so many cars.

I prefer to buy em and drive em a long time. :) And I do drive a lot.

Since 1994 there have been only been a 1973 Ford LTD, 1990 Lincoln Continental, 1997 Ford Contour, 1998 Lincoln Towncar, 2000 Lincoln Towncar, 2001 Z06, 2001 Dodge Caravan, 1998 Ford E150 HiTop, 2012 Focus & 2015 Tahoe PPV.

Just sold the Contour last year (100,000 miles), still have the Caravan (168,000 miles), still have the C5 Z06 (110,000 miles), still have the E150 (132,000 miles but then I bought it with 131,500 miles on it 4 years ago - haven't used it much), still have the 2012 Focus (43,000 miles) and the 2015 Tahoe PPV (30,000 miles).

I regret having to sell the '73 LTD - wish I still had it - had 63,000 original miles when sold in 1996)

LT dog lol. Those drove great, but god were they heavy. 2 gallons to the mile. :D

Have you ever lived in a northern city that salts? ;)
1 full winter in the Quad Cities was enough for me thanks.

Sled down a hill [x]
Make Snow Angel [x]
Make Snowman [x]
Have Snowball fight [x]
Shoveling sidewalk [x]
Remove snow drift from front door [x]
Warming car up for 10 minutes before any journey [x]
Chipping ice off wind shield [x]
Wait for outdoor parking lot to be plowed before being able to leave work [x]
Drive 2 ton 400ci RWD 3 speed auto in snow (although to be honest that was a lot of fun [x]
Navigate treacherous iced over side walks [x]
Seeing snow go from white wonderland to grey/brown slush [x]
Experience bone aching bitterly cold temps and wind chill [x]
Stop and think WTF??? Humans where not intended to live in this kind of climate [x]

Move to Texas [x]

:)

How about a van with the frame so rusted that the steering box broke off the frame at 40 mph. Brake, Brake, Brake, stop call tow truck, sign over title. LOL.

Man i really like your C5! hey how did you like the Contour?. Back when i had my Escort GT i was thinking about trading it in for an SE but never ended up going through with it. I still really like the Contour SVT.

The Contour was a MUCH better car than the Focus is turning out to be. The Contour was still goign strong at 100,000 miles and in great condition. The Focus is struggling through Fords automatic transmission clutch failures. I wont keep this car much longer.

Just waiting for the Ford factory recall work to be done on the transmission then off to fins a different small family car to replace it with.

As for a Contour SVT, if its anything like the SE was only faster and cooler then I bet its a great car :)

Our C5 has been a work in progress since 2002. First just a B&M Ripper shifter, then headers, then a cam and cat backs - then all hell broke loose and the car went from mildly modded to completely insane - I like to think of it as my real life Forza Car :) - well except for that absurd AWD drive train mod Forza has hehe.
