How can I join this event?

• Premium members: Reply in this thread stating you want to join, I'll then add you to the list. Server password can be found here
• Servername: search for "RACEDEPARTMENT"

All skill levels welcome but we ask that you can control the car and know the racing line around the track. Anyone driving in a dangerous manner may be removed from the server.

What do I need to know?

• Club rules are enforced. Check them out here
• We highly recommend using the in-built ACC radar when racing so you can keep it close and fair
• Voice chat is available on the RD Discord if you want to chat. Please use push to talk and limit chat during the race to apologies / lapped traffic info.
• Please ensure your real name is set on you RD profile and matches your in-game

Looking forward to it, I haven’t done many wet races. At pit stops does it add to the time to take on fuel?

If you change tyres (be careful to set the tyres to wet) adding fuel will not increase pit time. If you only add fuel then each liter of fuel adds 0.2 seconds

Thanks. I just changed the tyres last week, so I’ll have a go with refuelling this time. Might be marginally quicker in the early part of the race.

Thank you all for the race, it was a lot of fun despite my drive.
And of course a big thank you to Michael for organizing, good to have these races!

As i said above, i enjoyed the race but my driving was terrible.
To many small mistakes, way to inconsistent.
And than there was the big spin on the inside curb of turn 11 which send me nearly in the outside barrier of turn 12.
So stupid, i attacked the curb to much and it throws me away, well deserved Olly
The pistop was also not good, but at least no drive through.
Only plus was the fastest lap, but all in all my drive was to shaky.

Congrats to Johann, who did a very fast and extremely consistent drive.

Consistency aside, you had fantastic pace. Almost claimed pole in qualy and snitched purple off me during the race

My race had many ups and downs I guess. I had a relatively bad start and I spun myself at T9 and gave me a 20 second damage, mainly on the front bumper. The first half was pretty decent, I was catching up slowly but surely to @McFlunch till @akephoe showed up. I let him pass as I didn't want to make us lose time to the podium.
I made a pit stop (apparently one lap earlier than everyone) and decided not to fix the car. One lap later I was near @McFlunch and was able to catch him pretty quickly as he was warming up his tyres.
The second stint was basically me trying to overtake @McFlunch and what a battle! Me, trying to be as consistent as possible and hoping he would make a mistake, while trying to see my brake markers since I could barely see anything from the spay.

In general, it was an awesome race, difficult but rewarding, Thanks @mklengel for the race and onwards to another race!
