2018 Nations Grand Prix

10 HOURS. And just when it sounds like it's over ... it starts again.

I like your other tune, "March of The Men of Harlech" better.

Technically, this (... use of the International Racing Color Chart) may serve as a problem as we own both the Irish and British colours :p

"When Selwyn Edge won the 1902 Gordon Bennett Cup race for England in his Napier it was decided that the 1903 race would be held in Ireland, at that time a part of the United Kingdom, as motor racing at the time was illegal in Great Britain. As a mark of respect for their Irish hosts[2] the English Napier cars were painted shamrock green.

In keeping with these Irish/Napier roots, many of the earliest greens used on British racing cars were of a lighter olive, moss or emerald green."

... and just what is British Racing Green really.

I've always loved motor racing history. I guess that because I was alive when so much of it was going on. ;) One of my favorite stories is that of Alfred Neubauer changing the national colors of Germany from white to silver by sanding the paint off the Mercedes W196 (as I remember ... but I'm old) in order that they might meet a weight restriction. And we had Silver Arrows ever since. And then there is the legend of him running onto a track with a pistol to enforce driver finishing orders, but that's a story for another time.

National colors harkens back to a very different time ... back before commercialism came in during the late 1960's. If Sir Stirling Craufurd Moss OBE hadn't been so adamant about driving only British makes ... and thereby hangs another tale.

As a man of two very different backgrounds, I'd like to represent Egypt this year in the Nations GP with a good friend of mine, @Tarek Khedr

Egypt needs something to feel positive about these days and for this reason, I would like to race for Team Egypt

This pains me of course as I'd love to represent Ireland as well but perhaps I can help both sides with driving and setups
