2018 Formula One Brazilian Grand Prix

Both incidents are both different, don't understand why one would want to compare both for a penalty. Apart from personal prejudice.

It was rather Sirotkin losing his mind. Coming full speed at Hamilton during their outlap did not make any sense.
???? Are you an F1 steward? Sirotkin was just about to start his hotlap, on the exact part of the track (into the final corner) you'd expect a driver to be winding it up. If Sirotkin was a little slower on his reactions that Williams would be in the catch fence, and Hamilton would have alot to answer for.

Enjoy the rainy* race!

With the recent discussed 'incidents' of Vettel and Hamilton during qualification it even gives more room for debate that Ricciardo gets a five place grid penalty because an over enthusiatic steward blew his turbo to fail in Maxicooo. Yes all three completely different situations but for some reason it does not feel 100% right. And justice for all?!

And to keep this topic more lively: We've seen the move** of Hamilton during quali. What if you replace Hamilton with another name? Hypothetical just for fun let's say: Max Verstappen :p:D

* rain at 6PM (CET) according to the recent Interlagos weather forecasts.
** I also think Lewis should not get a penalty.

I don't think the stewards would treat Verstappen any differently, just because he has a history of crashing into people and dangerous moves. It's the same rule for everyone and all are treated equally :)

I agree that Hamilton did not deserve any penalty, and by the way, this atmosphere of "penalty threats" on quallies in the last years is just ridiculous.
Apart this, yesterday Q3 has clearly shoved Ferrari's weakest point: the drivers. Given the times they did on Q2 with harder compound, their times on Q3 are results of mistakes, honestly admitted by Vettel himself.
Once again in the most important moments Vettel has showed weakness and lack of "cold blood" and on the other side Hamilton is always capable of maximising the result.

The Red Bulls were only 1 tenth slower with the softs in Q2. Mercedes was the car to beat.
