2016 Formula One Monaco Grand Prix

Interesting race, and a great win from Lewis.Dan need's to pick himself after these last two.Hopefuly they will make him mentally tougher in the long run.Hopefuly this race can kick-start a more competitive championship.

Never seen DR looking so fed up. The team really screwed up for sure... something not getting communicated properly from the first floor pit wall apparently. But despite that a brilliant drive from Hamilton to win that race from third place after losing so much time to the Red Bull whilst he was stuck behind his team mate. Brilliant call from the team to keep him out on the wets.

And let's not forget the stunning drive from Perez and also the great drive from the Hulkenburg to nick 6th spot at the death from Rosberg.

What a race :)

A bit of a damp start but then Kimi put some sparks on the tarmac, A bit of a tussle at the exit of the Port Chicane with Daniel, with Lewis the victor.
Tried to upload these yesterday But the files were too big and I ran out of time

Did Red Bull said why they made this error? Did they thought about UltraSofts and on the last minute the changed their minds? Or something else? It was really strange , especially for them.

Too bad that the kid crashed again, Monaco doesn't seem to be his lucky place. But did anyone see that he came up from 20th to 9th on track (not by pit strategy)? He has the balls, and that's what I like in him so much, but needs to learn some patience.

Got to add this famous quote by the one and only ....
"By being a racing driver means you are racing with other people. And if you no longer go for a gap that exists, you are no longer a racing driver because we are competing, we are competing to win "
I guess Max pushing it a wee bit beyond the max!

2) How is it that Hamilton is allowed to cut the chicane, and not be forced to give up the position when Ricciardo has sufficient moment to pass the Brit on the corner exit. Later on in the race Rosberg cut the chicane and he did give up the position, but not Hamilton? ...

It's a dumb way they enforce it but, if you gain a position by leaving the track you must give it back. However they never enforce the same rule if you fail to lose a position by leaving the track.

It was a little tricky to see, but Hamilton left Ricciardo enough room on the inside (which was dirty, wet, and marbly) but then Ricciardo's back end stepped out and the move was moot anyway. Actually if Hamilton had made the chicane properly Ricciardo would likely have had a slightly slower exit from the chicane. It's a good defensive move if your opponent is faster than you and the line through the corner is narrow to just park it on the apex and force the guy behind to slow down more than they otherwise would.
