And Rosberg getting booed at the podium - that's definitely new...

Interesting race would be understatement it was great yet not much for my fav driver.
Ricciardo won for 3rd time, congratulations to him. Now i can say he finally beaten Vettel when BOTH had clean races. Purely clean and already i can tell whats happening with Vettel. Not that i discovered America lol but i am sure this is only a matter of a time before its settled and be back, Ric is very good with the tires! Proved on few occasions and Vet just cannot use them to the same extent. Hat of to Ric he is good!

About the race itself, it was great to see Nico pressing Hamilton in the first 2 laps. I am sad Vet didnt manage to get past Hamilton on lap1. Shame Nico and Ham touched. it would have been hell of a race. The fight in the end for 5th was also epic. I was just waiting someone to go off!

Expecting some issues between Hamilton and Nico

Yes he is. Is it smart to put your nose in there in the 2nd lap of a 44 lap race knowing well that Hamilton will take his normal line? Hell no, that's just stupid.
He can't take his normal line though if he has a car on the inside line. You always have to leave the room, something Mugnussen needs to learn to do

Brilliant race, action all the way thru in dry weather nonetheless. I think everyone is united on Rosberg making a stupid move and that the contact was unintentional. Bottas is good, really good and Kimi obviously is Spa specialist. Those two fastest laps early on were the key, it is too bad Ferrari is so lacking in power and fuel economy. I'm 100% sure that he would've won that race with just a bit more oomph in trunk. But he couldn't pass anyone with that ugly monster, Kemmel straight is just that long.

Ferraris penalty was very weak, 10 seconds stop&go and hefty fine, at least. You just don't put mechanics in that position where they need to panic while cars are moving around them. I'm sure that they had last second problem but knowing Ferrari, someone has been fired all ready. They seriously need to restructure the whole team, not because the people working there are not as good as they need them to be but this constant fear of getting fired does not give 100% but safe 90%. It's team moral that needs to be rebuilt, not the personnel.

Can't understand again why some would think Spa 2014 was not great race or that Spa is not a great race track. I'm guessing they need to go and watch nascar if that amount of action was not enough what we saw today.. Its just not this race, F1 this season has been really great even if Merc is that overwhelmingly superior. At least it's not one guy always with finger up, just shows how slow Webber had become (i'm sure he disagrees but facts are on the table: Vettel is good but not 4 times as good as everyone else, of course we don't know what kind of contract he had with RBR....)

PS: COTA is one the best tracks ever built, one does not understand F1 and track design if he thinks otherwise ;)

Being Vet fan saying he needs to improve is a Good to see after all :D.
i hope RBR wins the WDC this year this time with RIC

Its not relevant whether its the 2nd or 30th lap. The smartest thing to do is have clear teamorders (don't overtake) but we all agreed we didn't want that.

I applaud Mercedes for not having these silly orders and these kind of racing incidents can always happen. Makes the sport interesting. Boo-worthy? Don't think so.

Agree, up to a point. I'm with Lauda on this one, you can race but accident on second lap is unacceptable. It is immature, from a rookie that would've been understandable but for championship leader not. Not boo-worthy, he did not mean to do it, no one risks their front wing for an off-chance that it causes a puncture. We see front wings shattered and no damage to tires much more often than otherwise. If it was guaranteed puncture, one could start to look for deliberate cause of harm.

Nico still has to show his wheel-to-wheel racing skills.

And kudos to Dusko, nice to hear balanced comments from you :)

@Kartik Sri Harsha ... Red Bull to win title with Ric? Ooogh i hope thats the last thing that happens! I would rather see Alonso win another 2 with Ferrari

@Kennett Ylitalo thank you but i always think of myself as a realist and believe i always gave balanced com. Vettel is 4 times world champion who won them in a row in such a dominant style that reminded us of Schumacher (and who though we were ever going to see another "schumacher?") so people rushed to make Ric like he is wiping the floor with Vettel which clearly is not the case. Today i see for the first time Ric to beat Vettel fair n square apart of China. (In rain where Vettel is better)
Vettel this year is 3/3 better than Ric on wet. Because he is great driver and for sure better.
But Ric getting out of the car more in a race deserves credit and respect, it means he is really damn good and big part of that is due to his work with the tires, why else Vet would get that early in pit? Share speed is not the case. Something else. It must be that. What happened in China for example. etc

Vettel needs to upper his drive and tire waste. Ric is good really good.
