being a south african, i would love to see testing at Kyalami. unfortunately i don't think it is logistically possible given how far away south africa is from europe, where all of the teams have their factories/bases

Now this is interesting,

SkySportsF1 Ted Kravitz has told SSN that Lewis Hamilton's time on the hard tyre this morning will have made "Red Bull sit up and take notice."

Í´m not sure either but i think he did the time with the oldest exhaust setup, not the mclaren style exhaust.

They got a RBR version in the CFD program too which is interesting.

Every team is eating their tyres alive right now. I wouldn't worry about it too much, it was like this in 2011 as well. It is simply too cold right now. Should be fine by Melbourne. Pirelli has tested these tyres a lot last year and the teams also got to try them out at Interlagos - and it certainly wasn't so bad there.

Hamilton just beat his old Pole Position time last year...on hards....on more fuel... remember he was near empty last year and had the best car by a mile in that event.

I´m hoping that this is an indicator that the Mercedes atleast can be up there fighting for podiums at least.

Edit: actually it was softs.

Edit2: an even faster time but now on Mediums.
