Or Porsche, as they've had success in the mid 80's when they had a Porsche turbo engine. It actually was the same kind of engine that will be in the 2014 engine regs - 1.6L turbo V6.Mclaren looking forward to change their Engine supplier.

Great, "a source". Not a source within the team, or someone else who might have a clue about this, just "a source". This means absolutely nothing. Even my grandmother is "a source". And she thinks Formula 1 is a mathematical expressionA source said: “There is no way McLaren will stay as a customer for Mercedes engines.”
Price and reliabillity maybe? At least the Mercedes gearboxes failed serveral times this season not just at Mclaren. There is no way McLaren will not have a Mercedes next year. The car is already being built, after all.

Yamamoto told Autocar “it is true that we do look up at those races and hope that one day we can take part again”.
He added: “I do not personally think we can just go straight back immediately, but there is potential for the rules to change and attract us. I follow the rules, certainly, and if they present an opportunity then it would be nice to go back.”
