I just watched "Inside Grand Prix" and they said that Kovalainen will be having his 100th GP on Hungaroring.

I think one of the wettest seasons in F1 was in the 1980s somewhere

I heard Germany was his 100th race. He started in F1 at exactly the same time as Hamilton. Was there any races that Kovalainen missed ?

what do they mean by that only 298 starts?
Has he jumped into a race mid-way?

Same thing for Kova 100 GP´s, 99 starts.

Edit: maybe it´s for starting from pitlane?

Im sure he crashed out or something in the parade lap once, don't know if that would be the reason. Doubt it though

If a driver participates in practice or qualifying, they are considered to enter the Grand Prix. I'm pretty sure you have to line up on the grid to be considered a start. Schumacher missed one when his engine failed in France before the start of the race.

Probably wanna check some kinda source on Grand Prixs and Starts

I think he didn't get classified as Starting at Silverstone when he broke his leg.

Will Buxton described the rain on Sunday as "almost Biblical." If that's the case, then all we're going to see is 5 laps with wet tires, then a restart on intermediates.
