2012 Ferrari F12

On the McLaren there's a hole ontop of the 'bulge' in the side pod, where I'd imagine the exhaust exit will be.
I can't see that on the Ferrari. All I can see is the Acer pipes angled downwards, which is illegal.

Yea you can see the body work pointing down but you don´t know what angle the exhaust tip has.

The Mclaren exhaust is a dummy. It´s just a hole in the body work covering the exhaust.

It´s an illusion. The exhaust tip itself is pointed 10 degrees up but the bodywork points down for aero.

Here they are trying an even more extreme angle. Probably around 20-30 degrees.

That picture looks different to the "getting hot" one from yesterday.
Looks like they've cut a bit out of the top of the Acer exit. You couldn't see the exhaust yesterday.

Yea they have sawed out a piece of the bodywork :)
It looks like they have just tried a more aggressive angle. Like 20 or even 30 degrees.
Or just moved all of the exhaust "up", check illustration below.

This is how i think they manage to create an illusion that the exhaust is pointing down when in reality it is exactly 10 degrees up.
I might be wrong though.

If all of the hole was filled with the exhaust we would have seen burnt paint around the exit.

Updated with horizontal plane.
