First big series coming to Spielberg after the re-opening of the track in Austria.

Qualifying is currently on, and it's raining hard!

Ekström just put his Audi into the tyre wall at the pit entrance on slicks, and Molina nearly followed him!

Anyone trying on slicks is not very wise anyway...

The Mercedes are doing a bit better, Paffett leads in Q1 ahead of Engel, Green, Tomzyk, Spengler, Scheider, RSC, Mortara and Jarvis.

EDIT: Q2 was stopped, too much rain, and the drainage couldn't keep up with the water.

Tomczyk wins from pole to flag at Austria!

2nd is Ralf Schumacher, 3rd Oliver Jarvis that held off Bruno Spengler in the last laps.

Spengler keeps and extends the lead in the championship.

WTCC has turned into a farce IMO , DTM has far more high quality drivers , both by quanity and quality - there are only 3 or 4 drivers in the WTCC field this season that could cut it out anywhere near the points in DTM.

I think WTCC is boring though - non contact unlike BTCC - and on GP circuits (too long, not enough laps)

this is a first hint at what the new A5 for next season might look like (actually, not much of these cars bears any resemblance to the street car, but they use the basic design elements for identification). engine will be the same as this year.

I'm just glad that there isn't so many winglets now to Rival F1. Also love the huge rear wing. Car looks great, would love to see Opel and Alfa Romeo back in DTM, they would probably have great looking cars.
