1997 Bridgestone Tyres

I know it's old but this error still occured and after a detailed test and research I finally found the reason:
You must make sure, that at All Sections - PSSGDATABASE - LIBRARY - TEXTURE has
gammaRemapR and gammaRemapA set with Value 1
View attachment 40480

I've found this when I checked Minardi, because there it was working but on some .pssg those values aren't set to 1.

Btw. I guess noone has found a way yet to have two treads/compounds working?
They found.Rian Speed did it with his 2006 mod.He imported the tyre textures for each team. But that won't work for online play.I tested myself it's screwed up.It can be only used in offline

Ofc 90% of mods can only be used offline ;) So I better ask to be sure (before I download his whole season :D): He was able to add different compounds (which used to be in cars\generics\f1)? I'm not speaking of tyre.tga, tyre_wear.tga and tyre_mask.tga.
If it's really so, guess I'll have finally different Goodyear and Bridgestone tyres, not only from the side :D

Download his beta and open the car pssg's with ryder pssg editor and you will see what i mean.

Well, I guess I have no other choice then but to dl his whole mod ... well, guess I can create a 5th copy of my game then and extend my batchfile which season to choose/play :D

I posted the fix a while back here...
http://www.racedepartment.com/forum/threads/schiftys-mod-1998-wip.66847/#post-1401254

But I don't think anyone took notice. I still sometimes get PMs on how to fix it.

I can send you a small packaged file that will give you a sample of how to make the multiple tyres work. If you want.

I surely did not, I never looked at 1998 thread as I'm driving 1997 :D

That would be awesome, I am currently into creating a (personal) unique season with 24 liveries and (hopefully) completely different tyres (well, there is Pirelli, Bridgestone, Goodyear, Hankook, Firestone, Michelin - would like to use them all, their surface structure included)*
Btw. great job creating most of those tyres, aagancia ;)

*after I finished the fixes for 1997 mod :D
