It has been a long wait for Assetto Corsa EVO gameplay - so we are happy to share the VOD of our live stream for you to re-watch!

On day one of ADAC SimRacing Expo 2024, OverTake had the chance to drive AC EVO - and we even got to live stream it. The recording of the full stream is now back on our YouTube channel!

Tune in to the video above to watch our team turn some laps at Imola in a Porsche 992 GT3 Cup, a Hyundai i30 N at Brands Hatch and finally, an Alpine A110 S at Mount Panorama.

Along with the now confirmed Mount Panorama, there are also glimpses at the new UI and HUD, plus many more details that we have found out by being on the ground at the event in the Fanatec booth. Our chat with Game Director Davide Brivio also resulted in a few interesting features being confirmed.

Stay tuned to both the OverTake YouTube channel and our website to find out more about AC EVO when more information becomes available.

What are you most looking forward to within Assetto Corsa EVO? Let us know in the comments below and join the discussion in our forums below!

I don't think I understand the modding strategy. I saw an interview whereby Marco states that they want to support modders by getting them in contact with manufacturers and they don't want to see cars from other games copied over. He even mentioned how great it would be for a modder to be in contact with Porsche etc.

How on earth can that work when manufacturers want license fees for even mentioning their name in your product? Whilst they mention modding, and that much better editors will be openly available, I am not sure I understand how they intend to avoid "other game content" being copied over or even having modders communicate directly with manufacturers without paying some fees.

Maybe mods will have to have some sort of license key thats validated by the engine in order to be published and enable the base game to use it. Does anyone else have any ideas how this might work?

The interview where he talks about this is on the TraxionGG youtube site btw. The video has chapters

People saying this looks like AC1 with mods need to get their eyes checked because this absolutely blows even a highly-modded AC1 with CSP and filters out of the water. The quality of the car models alone is staggeringly above basically anything but Gran Turismo much less amateur AC1 mods and the textures/lighting makes AC1 look insanely outdated. This is a straight up generational leap over that game.

Thank God the rF2 fanboys have arrived, Now we have a balanced and informative discussion on the topic at hand.

Can't imagine they would use this thread to white knight some other platform or company.
no i expect AC fans boys to say AC EVO physics are designed by God, you guys boasted on every rf2 place how Rf2 has been superseded by AC

I don't know who "you guys" are, or what an rf2 place is, But I'm glad to hear that someone's imaginary deity is involved in the physics. It makes all the difference.

Perhaps we can make a safe space for you.

At least u guys liked the trees this time!
Also by saying Jardier is a fanboy it sounds strange, he really enjoys playing ACC/LMU/iRacing
Lastly...no one forces u to buy anything

Jardier is just a positive guy who clearly loves racing-sims.

That's not something to condemn.

Personally, I'll hold back judgement until I actually get to play the game, and once its been designated as a full release.

If I have some bias, its that I consider they will actually present a market worthy product before they start charging for additional content.

At the end of the day this is an early preview with a tiny amount of content thats being strictly controlled by the developers.

It doesn’t really tell you anything much apart from confirming three tracks and cars. YouTube obviously compresses the hell out of things even at 4k 60 and I doubt it’s anywhere near optimised at this point.

I’ll wait until it gets in the hands of a few more people with less limitations over what they can do.

I agree Jardier tends to see the positive side of most things. So I have no problem with him giving his thoughts. The game just needs to be played by alot more people in a less controlled environment, I think it’s inevitable people will make comparisons to AC and ACC for physics and force feedback but thats not always helpful especially if you’re not a fan of one or both of them in those aspects.

1. Is Assetto Corsa EVO's in-game currency and rental car features confirmed?
2. Does player have to spend a lot of time practicing and racing to get in-game currency to buy their favorite cars?
3. Is it a joke or confirmed that we need to pay in-game currency when the rent car is crashed?:roflmao:

Jardier and any of the other content creators aren't going to bite the hand that feeds them. Best to take what they say with a grain of salt. It will be here soon enough and then the "people" will speak. Remember the glowing *first impressions* of --insert most any game here--, only to find out they were just content creators doing what content creators do. As much as it pains me to say it, of all the content creators out there, I'll put more weight on what GM has to say than the others as he tends to keep it real over staying on the good side of a developer. He was the only one who actually told the truth about EA WRC.

* how many times did Jardier say "first impressions" in his video. omg man, please stop.

After listening to many video from people who have tried EVO, I feel that Kunos will deliver us a great simulation racing game.
The passion and craftsmanship of Kunos has always been on a superior level to any other developper for me. Even with the personnel change, I believe from what I have seen so far that the core competency is still there.
To those who are not into AC and ACC, you will not have to bother, I am sure your favorite game is doing great and you can enjoy it a long long time, like I have enjoyed AC for 10 years now. From what I have seen, AC EVO will feel like a Kunos game, that is a blessing, almost all I need to know.
My only complaint is to have to wait for January, I would love to spend time with the 3 Combo I have seen right now, do not even need a discount. Just let me drive that Alpine in the rain.
