It has been a long wait for Assetto Corsa EVO gameplay - so we are happy to share the VOD of our live stream for you to re-watch!

On day one of ADAC SimRacing Expo 2024, OverTake had the chance to drive AC EVO - and we even got to live stream it. The recording of the full stream is now back on our YouTube channel!

Tune in to the video above to watch our team turn some laps at Imola in a Porsche 992 GT3 Cup, a Hyundai i30 N at Brands Hatch and finally, an Alpine A110 S at Mount Panorama.

Along with the now confirmed Mount Panorama, there are also glimpses at the new UI and HUD, plus many more details that we have found out by being on the ground at the event in the Fanatec booth. Our chat with Game Director Davide Brivio also resulted in a few interesting features being confirmed.

Stay tuned to both the OverTake YouTube channel and our website to find out more about AC EVO when more information becomes available.

What are you most looking forward to within Assetto Corsa EVO? Let us know in the comments below and join the discussion in our forums below!

kinda puzzling that this is some other engine and they still have same problems with "running" shadows and with popups on the horizon, especially trees
u can say it's alpha or even pre but there is 0 certainty that it will be fixed since it wasn't in ACC, maybe this engine has similar problems - would be funny, especially since I already heard that VR doesn't work good at this point even on 4090s too

Also what I am concerned about. The level of detail pop in (trees spawning out of nowhere, worse than ACC) look terrible. And in the rear mirror you clearly see traveling shadows and pop out too.

In the livestream many asked about what's specifically supported in VR. Overtake refused to ask about this. They didn't want to ask if OpenXR 1.1 works, if it has quad views, if eye tracked foveated rendering works etc. Even while the chat was spammed with this.

Very disappointed by this livestream!

And the questions get asked instead like: "does it have snow" "does it have split screen" and other nonsense that nobody cares about but the most important questions that all VR users wanted to know are completely ignored by Overtake. This while these questions were very visible in the chat.

Good VR performance and no pop in/shadow traveling, and the livestream was THE moment to ask about it but somehow you both didn't. If VR doesn't work properly then I'm not looking forward to the game at all. The basics need to be right first. So please ask the right questions to Kunos next time.

What in the heck is that default start light placement on the screen ??

Took until turn 1 for me to see the AI so far is terrible because they drove side-by-side on the straight and then everyone immediately yielded to single-file through turn 1, completely unrealistic. Not even a single car went side-by-side to fight for a position .

Ultra hype, but not impressed by the graphics and rendering, well it will be better once in front of my 4k screen!

3 months till game releases and in early access no less. This thread is gonna be a mess.
Something that my flawed character is insanely looking forward to.

Not that I myself will be posting negatively. It's simply that those who do so without any basis will inevitably entertain and amuse me, and give me so much material to troll them.

While I liked what I seen, I am not getting invested until I have the game running on my rig. I doubt the system I have can even dream of running A.C.E. at anywhere near what little I've seen from the livestream. Flaws and all...

January will bring some candy. AC Evo early access to be paired with a new Nvidia RTX in the rig, yummie.
For a pre alpha version of the game i think it looked good from what i can tell in all these videos and the snippets of actual recorded gameplay not just off screen filmed.
Marco said they will have at least 20 cars and 5 tracks in the first early access version, thats actually more than i thought. I was already prepared for them to go again the route of 1 car 1 track like they did with AC (Lotus on Magione if i remember correctly) and ACC (Huracan GT3 on the Nürburgring GP Strecke).

Correctly speaking it's not being offered yet, not for another 3 months.
And you must be new to the terms pre-alpha and early access.
3 months is nothing after so many many years of development. Dont expect any miracles in such a short timeframe. That they called it pre-alpha is concerning with the release scheduled at 16 January. He is right to express his concerns.

My concern is that with what i have seen so far, i really don´t see what this sim will have to offer more that what we have in asseto corsa with the fantastic panel of mods already available.

But i am about sure about at least one thing.
Rennsport is already dead as soon as assetto evo will be available.
