Alpine To Debut In Automobilista 2 With A424 LMDh Hypercar

Reiza Studios have struck a deal with the French car manufacturer, Alpine, to debut their lineup within Automobilista 2!

Alpine may be struggling in the world of Formula One, but the brand is a lot more than just its F1 program - take its WEC effort, for example. In fact, it is their Hypercar from that programme that is the brand's first car to be added to Automobilista 2, the Alpine A424 LMDh. The A424 is due to be added to Automobilista 2 in V1.6.

The A424 is going to be one section of the upcoming Endurance Car Pack Pt 2. So far, the other Alpine cars that will be added in future updates are unannounced. However, it is fair to assume that the modern Alpine A110 in one, or many, of its GT forms is most likely going to debut sooner rather than later.

There currently is a very well-loved Alpine A110 GT4 mod available, but a first-party addition could bolster the GT4 grid - especially considering Reiza's cooperation with online multiplayer platforms.

Whilst the addition of the A424 makes sense with the roster of other Hypercars available, which other Alpine cars would make sense to be added to Automobilista 2?

What do you think of Apline's inclusion as a licensed manufacturer within Automobilista 2? Let us know on X @OverTake_gg or down in the comments below!

A110 (old and new), A210, A44x series is what I'd love to see.

It looks as though a lot of Reiza's stuff has leaned heavily into modern endurance, much to my chagrin, so I'd expect more of the LMP2 stuff. Maybe they'll debut the Alpenglow?

Tbh, I can't follow their strategy when it comes to releasing content. Why not offer something that won't be in another sim that focuses on the series where the Alpine LMDh is actually racing - and it's not like Alpine hasn't a huge heritage to select cars from. I get it that they try to cater to everyone and everything but why not try to make the content that focuses on IMSA perfect and expand afterwards. I have allways the feeling that they are overloading themself.

they do. But not all licenses in yet.
If they can get Alpine insted of Ferrari, why not take it.
There are definitelly more IMSA cars in the cue, licensed and in licensing progress.
But they cannot announce b4 they signed it.

Looks better in rF2... Where it has the chrome and metallic that it should... That shouldn't be possible, that livery just looks so last gen...

Seems quite rushed which is a bad sign given how important this 1.6 update is to get right after how badly they handled 1.5 and the release of the LMDh's themselves...

Any new vehicle in a Sim is a good day, and it is fantastic news that Reiza is still steaming ahead full throttle with AMS2.:geek::cool:

Look forward to trying out this content and while I personally do not mind if some cars have no other cars in their class to play with, so to speak, I like firing up different car and track combinations that otherwise do not co-exist in the real world to create a race day that is entertaining and different from the norm:D (personal opinion)

It's about getting licenses that they can afford and will net them cars that can expand current classes (like this one in LMDh or potentially A110 at GT4) or others that have been promised a while ago (like an A442 for the 70s sportscars that should go with the 70s Le Mans when that releases).

It does not look quite focused, but I reckon that when you don't have a publisher funding your studio, you take what you can get :)

Very happy with that personally, especially as there’s been sight of the Lamborghini too, so that would make a nice 5 car ‘GTP’ field for now if they’re both in v1.6/EP2 - I’ve been asking them to provide depth rather than width with their content releases and this pack certainly ticks that box.

For anyone unaware, it’s looking like the upcoming 5 car DLC will be this Alpine, the Lamborghini LMDh, the Oreca LMP2, the Corvette GT3 and the latest Audi R8 GT3 and the tracks being Sebring, Road Atlanta and possibly Mosport. Mostly unconfirmed.

Do you prefer licensed hardware?

  • Yes for me it is vital

  • Yes, but only if it's a manufacturer I like

  • Yes, but only if the price is right

  • No, a generic wheel is fine

  • No, I would be ok with a replica
