Originally scheduled for release towards the end of March, the Classic Nürburgring in Automobilista 2 finally has some teaser shots. Is it releasing this weekend?

Last month, Reiza Studios released the final piece of the Historic Track Pack puzzle for Automobilista 2. Alongside a large update came a classic version of Bathurst. With the update also came the promise to release a classic version of the Nürburgring Nordschleife and Sudschleife.

With sudden plans to include the long-forgotten southern layout, Reiza said it would take longer than expected and teased an end-of-March release. That deadline has been and gone, but we finally have news on the upcoming circuit. Recent tweets from the Brazilian developer not only showed screenshots of the historic version of this iconic venue, but also featured a caption.

Reading "This weekend..." the tweet certainly points towards a release for the track before next week.

AMS 2 is increasingly becoming the go-to simulator for historic content. From accurately recreated tracks to a wide array of detailed historic grids, the title has certainly come of age and found its niche.

The historic version of the Nürburgring should align with many other 'time machine' tracks. Set in the year 1971, it sits in the same time period as many other forgotten layouts featuring in the sim. The long version of Spa-Francorchamps, fast variant of Imola and a representation of Monza with its banking in use all sit in the early 1970's.

Automobilista 2 also features a selection of early-1970's F1 cars to run around these vintage tracks. With custom championships available to create, there are huge single player possibilities on the horizon for this upcoming addition to the game.

Are you excited for a classic version of the Nürburgring to join AMS 2?

It's a big nuke over the new ACC update. Yes, it's only a track... but it's The Track of All Tracks.

I mean, we don't even need to choose between them. How lucky to have a weekend with both of these; if someone wants (and has the time), they can spend morning in a deep, modern GT3 field at Valencia and the afternoon in vintage machinery on a masterpiece circuit*

*Assuming AMS update doesn't get pushed back

it's such a shame this games multiplayer architecture is so bad, it would have been a very popular platform for leagues etc

This must qualify as one of the nicest and amusing AMS2 discussions in along time here on RD.
I can only hope when the track is released this continues. :)

Look who's using an Accent instead of an Apostrophe while trying to be a Grammar Nazi.

As a German American...this cracks me up...

Its (without an apostrophe) is a possessive pronoun, like his or her, for nouns that don't have a defined gender. In contrast, it's (with an apostrophe) is the shortened form, or contraction, of it is or it has.

I'd call that a double whammy of failure...

also "to" instead of "too"

Not bad at all, just the ffb and physics are not good in AMS2
Personally, I find that ACC's physics are pathetic (in real life I hate it and in addition in VR this "simulator" is monstrously the worst of all time), that of AC too by the way (damn I drive there sometimes , I'm not smart!) or RF2 (I mustn't tell them that I've never tried it, in any case it's ugly!) ;-) ;-) ;-)
In short, all that to say that personally I'm fed up with these guys who come on the posts of My favorite simulation very, very far compared to all the others, the others that I really bought for real evc du real money and i only ride AMS2 anymore for its realistic feel, fabulous VR, wonderful cars and tracks, AC for all its mods in VR still and Dirt Rally 2 because it's the only playable rally sim in VR.
These guys are systematically demolishing AMS2 when you don't even need to touch any settings to enjoy it, it's so good!
On the other hand, on the posts concerning ACC or other one never sees anyone coming to demolish the simulation in question, there is a relentlessness against AMS2, it is my opinion and I share it! Afterwards, long live the freedom for all to express themselves. ;-).

How about were all just pretty lucky to have them all to choose from.
What would the world be If we didn't have something to complain about

Agreed. You can even come on here and make a post it. ;):)

You shouldn't get so emotionally involved with other people's opinion, let alone their take on some computer software.
Stick to whatever makes you happy and don't give a damn about what people think about it.

I for one don't perceive AMS2 as realistic, I don't like the picture quality in VR, and I don't like the driving feel. AMS1 is still a far better simulator if you ask me.

But hey, we're here to disagree.
