Max Verstappen's Fourth World Drivers Championship

After a hard-fought season, Max Verstappen left the busy streets of Las Vegas as your 2024 Formula One World Drivers Champion. The Dutchman has not always had the best car this year; however, he walks away with the title with two race weekends remaining.

Throughout his campaign of dominance in 2023, Verstappen was untouchable in nearly every race. However, in 2024, at times, he had the fourth fastest car on the grid. To be able to win the championship with two rounds left to go in a season with 6+ different winners speaks volumes about his consistency. Whether you love or hate him, Verstappen is a modern legend in Formula One.

Looking to the future, Max Verstappen's dad Jos has changed his mind about who should partner with his son next year at Red Bull. Initially, Jos had endorsed the new VCARB recruit, Liam Lawson. However, the ex-Formula One driver has said that with a more neutral car on the horizon for Red Bull, Perez will undoubtedly find his form again.

Valtteri Bottas Re-igniting The Driver Transfer Market

Kick Sauber's Valtteri Bottas said he would 'relish an opportunity to return to a top team in a second driver role'. The Finnish driver left Mercedes at the end of 2021, and a return to the sharp end of the grid driving alongside Max Verstappen at Red Bull would be feasible.

Bottas is without a contract for 2025. He and his Chinese teammate, Guanyu Zhou, lost their seats at Sauber after the team announced that Formula 2 leader Gabriel Bortoleto would join forces with Nico Hulkenberg for the 2025 season.

“Obviously, really honoured that [Toto Wolff] would be willing to take me back to the Mercedes family, which is great. Of course, there are still many details we’ve got to discuss, like how much I would actually get to drive because I want to drive, whether it’s about testing and stuff like that. We’re discussing it, but there’s no need to rush.” - Valtteri Bottas, talking to Formulaone.com

The Race For The Constructors Championship Is Still Red-hot

The 2024 drivers' championship might have been seen out up by Max Verstappen last weekend in Las Vegas, but the Constructors' Championship remains up for grabs. With Red Bull the furthest off the title, the papaya squad are in the driver's seat.

McLaren is currently at the top of the standings with 608 points, just 24 points over stern chasers Ferrari in second place with 584 points. Red Bull, however, are further back in third place. As it stands currently, Red Bull is on 555 points.

Sergio Perez's poor string of form throughout 2024 is partly to blame for the distance they need to claw back to McLaren. Can the Mexican match his four-time world champion teammate to try and claw back another victory for Red Bull in the constructor's championship?

Qatar Grand Prix Schedule

Regardless of where in the world you are, the Qatar Grand Prix will inevitably be a race you will not want to miss. Whilst it is not one of the more iconic and beloved circuits on the calendar, the constructor's title fight between McLaren, Red Bull, and Ferrari is fierce. It will almost inevitably boil over on race day.

We look at penalties and punishments every weekend.

FIA stop it!

I did enjoy our Max, it seems like he always turns into the Hulk when he is angry.

And nice to see his mother at the race again with his sister.

Max is the rightful champion of 2024 with not even the fastest car. He is now easily one of the greatest in this sport!

This race week officially ended RBR's chance of the constructor's title and with Max locking up the Driver's Championship last week; this makes it just the third time this century in which the Drivers Champion didn't also win the Constructor's Championship. Two of those three champions were Max Verstappen (The other was Lewis in 2008). Two out of his four championships came from a car that didn't win overall.

I don't think people realize just how special of a performance that Max has been putting on, especially since his second full year in RBR in 2018.

Observations from the race.

1. Christian Horner kissed the female staff member who was working on the pit wall after the race. He should know better.
2. He almost tried to kiss a male member on the pit wall after he kissed the female staff member. Dafuq??
3. Lando Norris showed that he truly is a F1 driver. He was not happy giving that 1st place to his teammate. You could see him seething when he was with Zack after the race.

Not for complaining on the radio.
For being in the stewards office after the race, arranging the penalty for Max.
While playing the nice guy when Max or the Media is around, He talks very differently behind closed doors.

As I said Max has done the same thing. Mostly due to way Red Bull operates.

Russel is also ruthless. But Max needs some self reflection

I feel RedBull’s cost benefit analysis comes out with a net postive for Perez. So the money they lose from not being first in the constructors is smaller than the money they lose from ending Perez’s sponsorship

The difference is that Max is not a double-faced bastard, what you see is what you get.

Russell is racking up stories of being quite the a-hole off cameras, and not only for sporting advantages, but also with fans.

Brand image is more than prize money and/or budget. They cannot hang on Max's championship successes for long, otherwise they risk him outgrowing the team.

This year he's basically been the team.

not sure how closely you have followed Russel’s career but he has always been ruthless, British media are the ones painting him as a saint. But just because max is a D## to you face doesn’t make him any better. I hate the term what you see is what got, or he/she wears their heart on their sleeve . Oh that’s fine you can be D### then. Point I’m making is Max is a hypocrite he complains about others drivers conduct but he can’t reflect on his own behavior

Oh no doubt Max can be a d-head and I cannot put him as a favourite driver thanks to some of those antics.

There is still a division between being ruthless and being an ass. IMO George is falling into the latter.
