New stuff:
- Adjusted the geometry of the snake skin to more closely match the real-world example.
- Now uses better material shaders.
- Improved scrubbed aluminum texture used for the bodywork.
- Various other graphical tweaks, including a snakier tongue.
- Added and 8K version for show-offs (and updated 2K and 4K versions).
- Added optional car data to BOP with Velo's E-Type Lightweight (details below) and some other RAC TT Celebration cars.
- Added a separate .kn5 for people who like to make their own CM previews (more details below).
- Martin Brundle remains unchanged as he is magnificent just the way he is.
Added optional bits:
a) I've included an alternative data folder. This brings the old Legion Cobra a bit closer to modern historical racing specs (a bit lighter, bit more power and a bit more grip) providing a better balance of power with Velo's Jaguar E-type Lightweight. If you want to install this, MAKE A BACKUP of the original data folder first (just re-name it "data_old" or something and leave it where it is) so you can restore it if you ever want to use it online or if you decide you like it better.
b) I've also included an alternative .kn5 for those who like to make their own CM previews. It's the same model as Legion's but with a lot of stuff removed (as achieved in-game by the skin's ext_config.ini). Most notably, it removes the fog lights which otherwise give the model 4 eyes in CM Showroom and previews.
If you want to make your own previews,
(1) copy 'shelby_cobra_coupe_for_previews.kn5' to the 'legion_shelby_cobra_289_hardtop' folder.
(2)Rename 'shelby_cobra_coupe.kn5' to 'shelby_cobra_coupe_bak.kn5' (or whatever).
(3) Rename 'shelby_cobra_coupe_for_previews.kn5' as 'shelby_cobra_coupe.kn5'
(4) Make your previews then rename everything back to how it was.
If you forget to change everything back, all your other Cobras will be missing bumpers, fog lamps, etc.
Optional (better) sound:
The default sound for this car is OK but if you want your hair blown back a bit more, do yourself a favour and grab SCIBSOUND's Ford GT40 sound mod from Race Department and apply it to this mod"
https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/scibsound-ford-gt40-sound-mod.39387/
Maybe its not strictly accurate for this model but it’s a close fit and it sounds bloody sensational. Turn it up until the neighbors start complaining.
Any issues let me know in the discussion.
Cheers,
