v.1.3:
Two main differences: Now you got TWO version cockpit cams! (check "_v.1.3_all_teams_on_board" folder for all team previews. there's also another "comparison screens" folder vith many cool pics)
One is hardcore (same as in 1.2 v but with slightly less FOV - 45 instead of 48) and the other is half a click upper and half a click back, FOV 48, and you can see much more. Simply put - it's less realistic but easier to drive. Try it, you may like it. Here's a Red Bull example:
Reason that I made it is cause some of you, who like to drive with cockpit cam, find out it's too hard to drive with my version of it. (sorry but like I said, first one is just where it supposed to be!)
Second main difference compared to v.1.2 - now, inspired by new Marussia skin here on forum, I find two good pics of Marussia T-cam and made it as close to the real thing. The 1.2 version was based on some... generic T-cam. Sorry 'bout that. But now you can drive this team with a view just like on your TV screen!
T-cam looking back is raised a little bit for all teams cause it's hard to see cars follow you. And it doesn't compromise reality too much. Don't ask me to raise it on some unnrealistic levels.
Many small corrections, on "old school" camera fov is increased from 38 to 45, on bonnet cams on some teams, on T-cam for a couple of teams (you can see where changes are made, cuz those shots are made with Alonso helmet) and updated all previews - and, believe me, that takes so much of time. And nerves.
Oh, and I almost forgot, there's one huge difference - now T-cam is right after cockpit cams, when you press your "next cam" button, you don't have to go trough all other cameras to get to the T-cam, they are one after another, then others follow. I think that was more logical and practical.
Work to do: Sauber T-cam isn't exactly where it supposed to be. Reason - I just recently manage to find T-cam photo from this car. And, since it's the only one, I can't be sure is it true to real one. Some aditional research need to be done. Thanks. Enjoy.
edit:
And, for complete joy and reality, don't forget to download transparent warnings mod here:
http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/no-session-ending-pitstop-timer-no-fastest-lap-display.4362/
v.1.2:
And now, finaly, YOU CAN PIT WITH ANY OF THESE ON BOARD CAMERAS!
I figured that out by reading some of the online guide. It wasn't to hard, tbh.
So, beside solving the "dynamic" on board cameras in previous version, now another BIG problem solved - you can use any camera when piting. Check in options/difficulty - pit cameras MUST BE OFF.
Many, many, oh so many tweaking here and there - on T-cam (two click higher, one click back, two click more pitch, some small things here and there and woila - now you got more than ever realistic T-cam. Check it out for yourself. All otther cams are edited, too. Only my own cam "shnala_TV_zoomTcam", that's right after head cam is not. I'm satisfied with it. Side cams are now perfectly positioned, they where real cams are. Plus "old school" cam, which is kind of retro cam, they don't make them now anymore. Pitty.
And, please, please, check now how rear facing T-cam look! Check compared pic I provide to you. Many time is put into this one. And... maybe original looks attractive but, hey... this one is IN THE REAL SPOT! And that's what it matter to me. Hope you're similar to me.
SPECIAL: absolutelly precise positioned COCKPIT cameras, tested by "show driver head in cockpit", then cameras moved to fit the driver visor. Time consuming thing, believe me! So, please guys, don't tell me that "cockpit cameras are not positioned well", because... it is. Or that "it's too hard to drive with them now", what can I do.... my mod is all about reality. Sorry for that. But if you love to drive with cocpit and it's too hard for you now, tell me, I'll help you to raise it as much as you want. Take look at team folders - you'll find one weird looking pic - that's the driver visor when you enable to see driver head in "head-cam". And believe me... default positions are way, WAY, off the real thing. Even my previous positions are way off. Sorry bout that. But... this one is, and I'm deadly serious, as real as it gets! I lost many preciouss time by moving them in 4 dimensions, then testing, then again out of the game, edit, test... so I really hope you'll appreciate this hard work I did. Thanks.
P.S. Sorry about the size of the file. It's because it now contains many, many preview screens for you!
best regards,
shnala aka gamer19
From readme file:
Well, if you liked 1.0 you'll absolutelly adore this one!
And that's the promisse.
Things that work fine I didn't touched too much BUT many other thing I did.
Also, many new features, like STATIC cameras for ALL onboard cameras [cockpit shouldn't be static, right?] and 4 (four) completelly NEW onboard cameras.
This is like 2.0 version but I thought to avoid any confusion... I'll stay with 1.1.
enjoy guys
Here's what it looked now in couple of teams example:
You still have cockpit all the other cam. I didn't delete any of those. Cockpit improved more.
Check all the three folder inside the file you have downloaded!
Here's how, for example, Ferrari look now:
version v.1.0.b
(only Force India BONNET cam is edited for now. the cam was located under the car, instead above. very small update, quick fix actually, that doesn't deserve new version number, so it's just "B" version of original mod)
Well, if you have tested FI then you know what I'm talking about. In case you didn't, here's the screen. This is what it looked like.
And it shouldn't, of course. It now look same like with other cars. Similar to T-cam with bigger FOV.
Sorry for inconvenience guys.
Hope I can avoid these kind of errors in future.
And look for some real update next week!
