Niko's Realistic 2021 Database 1.6 (After British GP)

Finally, I had the time to work the re-balanced performances between human controled cars and AI controled cars. This time, the list is almost complete except for two circuits that are still tricky: Spa-Francorchamps and Suzuka. For these circuits, my recommendation is to downgrade the difficulty level by one.

NEW TIP: Downgrade one difficulty level when playing on Spa-Francorchamps or Suzuka circuits (if you play on legend, then play on expert just on these two circuits) because AI and human car performances are not well balanced yet.

Current state of re-balanced performance per track:

1. Bahrain: no changes required.
2. Sepang: human cars are 0.3-0.5s faster per lap time.
3. Shanghai: human cars are 0.5-0.7s faster per lap time.
4. Spain: no changes required.
5. Monaco: no changes required.
6. Canada: human cars are 0.8-1.0s faster per lap time.
7. Austria: human cars are 0.6-0.8s faster per lap time.
8. Silverstone: human cars are 1.6-1.8s faster per lap time.
9. Hungary: no changes required.
10. Belgium: TBD.
11. Germany: no changes required.
12. Italy: human cars are 0.7-0.9s faster per lap time.
13. Russia: no changes required.
14. Singapore: no changes required.
15. Suzuka: TBD.
16. United States: human cars are 0.7-0.9s faster per lap time.
17. Brazil: human cars are 0.8-1.0s faster per lap time.
18. Australia: no changes required.
19. Abu Dhabi: no changes required.

I also updated the language file so the names of the team principals are updated to 2021, so if you are in Haas you could see Günther Steiner e-mailing you from time to time.

@Thang Nguyen skins now match perfectly every driver number without the need to manually adjust them.

I also fixed the return of the Malaysian and German GPs by replacing Vietnam/Netherlands flags and text with Malaysia/Germany ones.

Every routinary car and driver performances is also donde after 2021 British GP.

CHANGELOG 1.6
• Re-balanced performances between AI and human cars for every circuit except Spa-Francorchamps and Suzuka.
• 2021 team principals names updated for Career Mode (both English and Spanish).
• Fixed: return of the Malaysian and German GPs instead of Vietnam and Netherlands GPs.
• 2021 car liveries made by Thang Nguyen now matches perfectly every driver number.
• AI and human car performances updated after 2021 British GP.

• Antonio Giovinazzi is now Alfa Romeo's 1st driver.

(1.1) Sepang and Shanghai circuits have re-balanced human performance to allow more realistic racing with the AI.

Niko's Realistic 2021 Database 1.1 (After Imola GP)
After a thrilling 2nd round at Emilia Romagna, here is the new update to my database mod. This time, I updated all AI and human car performances considering both Bahrain and Imola GPs.

This update has re-balanced human car performance to allow more realistic racing with the AI. This means human cars are about 0.3-0.5s faster per lap at Sepang and 0.5-0.7s faster per lap at Shanghai. I will continue working on re-balancing performances for all tracks in the next versions so that racing is more fun and realistic.

I also took notice of your comments and further reduced tyre wear at every circuit.

THE GRID

1. Mercedes, Red Bull

With these cars you should expect to be winning races and getting lots of podiums.
2. McLaren, Ferrari, AlphaTauri
With these cars you should expect to get a few podiums and some solid points per race.
3. Alpine, Aston Martin, Alfa Romeo, Williams (+1)
With these cars you should expect to get a few points per race.
4. Haas
With these cars you sholud expect to fight very hard to score some points.

CHANGELOG 1.1

Niko's Realistic 2021 Database 1.0a (After Bahrain GP)

Spanish language is now supported!

Tyre wear level is reduced in most circuits. There are 3 types of circuits regarding tyre wear level, these are as follows:

Type 1: 1-stop race in dry conditions (0-1 stops in wet conditions).
Type 2: 1-2 stops race in dry conditions (1-2 stops in wet conditions).
Type 3: 2-3 stops race in dry conditions (2 stops in wet conditions).

Circuit types
Type 1:
Monaco, Montreal, Sochi, Singapore, Abu Dhabi.
Type 2: Bahrain, Sepang, Shanghai, Austria, Hungaroring, Spa-Francorchamps, Hockenheim, Monza, Texas, Brazil, Melbourne.
Type 3: Catalunya, Silverstone, Suzuka.

TYRE WEAR TIP:
Look after your tyres in Q3. Only do 1 fast lap with each set so you have tyres left to start the race.

The AI Power has been increased because races were way too easy. (Adjust the difficulty if needed)

Next step will be try to balance track performances as much as possible. Right now there are tracks where AI is way too OP (Silverstone and Suzuka, for example). But that's work for next versions.

CHANGELOG 1.0a
Reduced tyre wear levels on most circuits.
Tyre wear is now based on 2021 Bahrain GP and not in 2020 season.
• Reduced tyre wear for intermediate and wet tyres.
• Bahrain and Brazil are now type 2 tire wear circuits (previously type 3).
Incresed AI engine power.
• Tweaked team tier differences (slightly increased gap between tier 1 and tier 2).
Spanish language now supported.

Niko's Realistic 2021 Database 1.0 (After Bahrain GP)
The 2021 season has oficially started! And after a thrilling first race, here is the 1.0 version of my database mod. I spent several hours until finally I'm very happy with what I got.

There is completely new gameplay balance between AI and human car performances, as well as a completey new balance of in-game tiers. This took a lot of work to do but the new results are fantastic. Also, I reduced AI straight line speed because it was a bit too OP.

There is 4 team tiers in this version, but they are actually very close in pace. This solves the issue of teams getting eliminated in Q1 because stubbornly using hard tyres instead of soft to get to Q2.

If we use tier 1 as reference, then tier 2 is approx. +0.6s behind, tier 3 is approx. +1.2s behind and tier 4 is approx. +2.3s behind so the field is really close despite having 4 team tiers, which I find both very realistic and fun.

THE GRID
1. Mercedes, Red Bull
With these cars you should expect to be winning races and getting lots of podiums.
2. McLaren, Ferrari, AlphaTauri
With these cars you should expect to get a few podiums and some solid points per race.
3. Alfa Romeo, Alpine, Aston Martin
With these cars you should expect to get a few points per race.
4. Williams, Haas
With these cars you sholud expect to fight very hard to score some points.

CHANGELOG 1.0
• Totally re-balanced performance between AI and human cars.
Reduced AI engine power for all cars (AI was too OP on straigths).
• Completely new 4 tiers performance system.
• AI cars now properly use soft and hard tyres on Q1 according to performance.
