More AI Crashes, More Pitstops, More Slipstream (Copy + Paste or Manual) v11

I plan to release v.1 for F1 23 as soon as possible.

v.1 will include the damage model and puncture wear ONLY.
As for all we know, the slipstream and tyre wear in the base game may be perfect (doubt).
But we can tweak those values as we learn more about the game.

Ideally I would like:
25% and 35% races to be a 1 or 2 stop race.
50% and 100% to be a 1, 2 or 3 stop race.
realistic damage to have 0 - 3 incidents (VSC, Safety Car, Red Flag etc.)
normal damage to have 1 - 4 incidents (VSC, Safety Car, Red Flag etc.)
extreme damage to have many incidents (Quite literally, a meme race)

The idea between increased damage is to encourage the AI's collisions to be more 'fatal'
The idea between more pitstops is to encourage the AI to get into more collisions.
The idea between more slipstream is to encourage the AI to race closer, and thus get into more collisions.
The idea between increased puncture wear values is to make debris on the road be more of an obstacle, as the current values for getting a puncture from driving over debris is very specific and many people will never encounter it.

Feel free to join the discord https://discord.gg/gxFPQb9q and begin discussing your playthroughs now from the F1 22 game. (how many pitstops? too many crashes? not enough crashes? too many or too little pitstops) so we can get a head start on the F1 23 mod.

Hopefully together we can create the ultimate AI mod! Thanks again.

Hello everyone.
I've neglected this mod recently. Because I've been busy in my personal life.

However I'm setting up a discord in preparation for F1 23.

I plan to release v. 1 as soon as possible as I beleive the. Xml will be near identical to F1 22.

On the discord is where I'll be much more responsive in helping with issues and taking feedback.

I also plan to make 4 versions.
- 25% races
- 50% races
- 100% races
- Extreme meme

So I do need your help to assist in finding the right balance, as I only race on 50%.

Anyone who races 25% and 100% your feedback (too many crashes? Not enough crashes? Too many pitstops, too little etc.) would be greatly appreciated!

Feel free to join the discord now, but I likely won't be making changes for F1 22 unless the demand is incredibly high.

Thanks everyone!
To save confusion, I've removed the Modular Mods version as it doesn't work.
Thanks to JacobPro95,

Here is the modular mods version.
- 1 file for official teams
- 1 file for the myTeam cars

So here's a new copy + paste version that works with the latest patch. It includes:

- More AI Crashes (not for MyTeam cars)
- Better Slipstream
- More Tyre Wear (2/3 stops for every race with a slim chance of a 1-stop if you are good at looking after tyres)
- Tyres can now push to 90% wear before risk of puncture
- 50% chance of puncture if you run over debris at any speed (for all cars)
- Puncture until pop time increased. When you get a puncutre, the tyre will pop anytime between 1 second and 320 seconds. Meaning there is a chance you have a slow puncutre and won't immediately die from it.

With these changes it seems most tracks behave well with 4 - 6 AI DNF's per race, except for some reason Texas and Abu Dhabi. AI love to crash there!

MANUAL TWEAKS
If you want to tweak the settings to your own liking then open the Manual .xml files in Notepad++ and use EGO ERP Archiver to import your custom variables into the directory. (You can google how to do this)

TYRE WEAR FOR 25% RACES
Search: <UpgradeWearFactor value="1.35" />
And change the value from 1.35 to whatever you think is best.

TO ADD EXTRA DAMAGE TO MYTEAM CARS
Open the .xml file for your MyTeam Engine (or all 4)
Search: <F1SuspensionDamage>
Change the values to the following:

<F1SuspensionDamage>
<SpeedThreshold value="5.5" />
<FrontDamageScale value="1.00" />
<RearDamageScale value="1.00" />
<WheelDetachScale value="1.000000" />
<PartsDetachScale value="0.75" />
</F1SuspensionDamage>
<F1WingDamage>
<SpeedThreshold value="5.0" />
<DamageScale value="0.0001" />
<ChassisDamageMultiple value="0.9" />
<SideDetachScale value="0.25" />
<FullDetachScale value="0.5" />

SLIPSTREAM VALUES
Search: <m_aeroSlipStreamAirDensity
And change the 3 values:

<m_aeroSlipStreamAirDensityScaleLift value="0.95" />
<m_aeroSlipStreamAirDensityScaleDrag value="0.8" />
<m_aeroSlipStreamCarWidth value="1.5" />

Lift = multiplier of downforce when behind the car (1 is default)
Drag = the drag (0.9 is default)
Width = the width area of a car gaining the slipstream advantage (1 is deafult)

PUNCTURE WEAR
Search: <PunctureWearMin value="0.9" />
And change the value to whatever you want. 0.9 means you won't puncture until hitting 90% tyre wear. 0.75 is default (75% tyre wear and then you have a chance to puncture)

PUNCTURE TIME TO POP
Search: <BlowoutMinTime value="0.100000" />
And change the min time and max time to whatever you like.

DEBRIS PUNCTURE SPEED
Search: <DebrisPunctureMinSpeed value="5.0" />
And change the min speed and max speed to whatever you like. I have it set to 5 and 400. Meaning if you run over debris anywhere between 5MPH and 400MPH there is a chance your tyre will pop.

DEBRIS PUNCTURE CHANCE
Search: <DebrisPunctureProbabilityAtMinSpeed value="0.5" />
And change the min and max to whatever value you like. 0.5 means there is a 50% chance of getting a puncture when you run over debris. Setting this to 1 will mean there is a 100% chance.

-------------

Let me know if you have any questions and I'll try my best to help.
Ok, so it turns out there are a few 'problem child' tracks that cause way too many DNF's than you'd ideally like.

This mod is called 'More AI Crashes', and it definitely acheives that, but sometimes 12 DNF's and spending most of the race behind a Safety Car is not ideal.

I've identified the tracks as the following:
  • Bahrain International Circuit, Sakhir
  • Jeddah Corniche Circuit, Jeddah
  • Albert Park Circuit, Melbourne
  • Imola Circuit, Imola
  • Miami International Autodrome, Miami Gardens
  • Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Montmelo
  • Circuit de Monaco, Monaco
  • Baku City Circuit, Baku
  • Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Montreal
  • Silverstone Circuit, Silverstone
  • Red Bull Ring, Spielberg
  • Circuit Paul Ricard, Le Castellet
  • Hungaroring, Mogyorod
  • Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Stavelot
  • Circuit Sandvoort, Zandvoort
  • Monza Circuit, Monza
  • Marina Bay Street Circuit, Singapore
  • Suzuka International Racing Course, Suzuka
  • Circuit of the Americas, Austin
  • Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, Mexico City
  • Interlagos Circuit, Sao Paulo
  • Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi
So, what I'm going to do is play around with the damage variables to find a good balance and provide a secondary Copy + Paste folder to use just for those tracks

Additionally, I'll work on Copy + Paste for 25% races as requested. And re-implement Copy + Paste for the Optional MyTeam damage.

I'm gonna do all of these changes as 1 bulk update. So don't expect it today or tomorrow.
Hopefully I'll release this by Friday.
Uploaded the wrong file for a 3rd time!
Right, I'm trying to maintain too many version I'm getting confused.
For the time being, there is 1 copy and paste method: 50% Races, no MyTeam extra damage.

I've attached the Optional MyTeam Damage as Manual only becuase it's fkin confusing and time-consuming doing copy + paste for loads of different types and im getting them muddled up.
It's also the weekend and I'm pretty drunk and busy watching the footy.

More copy and paste versions will come during the week.
I'm double stupid and changed the wrong value.
Tyre wear should now be fixed

Turns out I'm a dumb dumb and uploaded an old version without the Tyre Wear :)
Also added an optional folder to give the increased damage to MyTeam vehicles.
