This version (F1 22)
It appears 'StrongestFish' and 'hrry' are no longer supporting the Extreme Medium and Realistic Damage mod.
So I did it myself (originally for just private use) and made a few other tweaks to get a more realistic experience. But I decided that I must share it with you guys, as I think it's great! Huge shoutout to those guys for doing all the hard work, I've simply taken the script(s) and tweaked them to make it feel the most realistic.
What does this mod do?
- It weakens all aspects of the AI cars. So when they collide, there's a higher chance of them getting terminal damage. (NOTE: This higher damage does not apply to the MyTeam cars. So you can continue to play on your preffered damage model setting in-game)
- Slipstream is ever so slightly increased, which encourages the AI to make more overtakes, thus resulting in more crashes! (NOTE: This does apply to the MyTeam car, so you are not at a disadvantage against them)
- Tyre wear is increased slightly for all teams to encourage more than 1 pit-stop. Originally the intention for this was to cause more crashes as often crashes occur when the AI are on cold tyres. But it turns out this actually just makes the game way more realistic and way more fun aswell. 1-stop races are boring!
What else do I reccomend?
- First and foremost, I absolutely reccomend using Kolarr's Improved AI mod: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/improved-ai.54990/
IMPORTANT: If you do, do not use the Better Slipstream additional add-on, as this will overwrite all the script changes in my mod.
Simply add the modular mod folder called 'TRACK_AI' to your '_ACTIVE' folder.
Kolarr's Improved AI mod helps to create even more crashes as the AI will defend like a lion.
Not only will there be more crashes, but they will be more unique, and more realistic!
- My mod is optimised to work best for 50% races. It will work fine with other race lengths too, there just might be a tad less crashes if you use 25%, and perhaps too many if you use 100%. You can also use the manual option to tweak the settings yourself. Or, if there is a huge demand for it, or you ask me super nicely and call me daddy, I'll make a few other versions for 25%, 100% etc.
