I've lived in Utah most my life.
I remember, years ago (not too many) when Larry H. Miller (owner of the Utah Jazz who died awhile ago) opened up this raceway. Set in a Utah desert with mountains in the background. The vistas are unique and have distinct type of beauty. I remember thinking to myself, when I saw motorcycles racing on this venue for the first time ever, that the actual circuit design is somewhat convoluted -with not a great flow- and difficult and challenging...
For the better and the worse, this circuit is fairly well-replicated -- and my experience having raced this circuit for the first time ever in rFactor mirrors my impression having watched parts of actual racing on this circuit on T.V.: This circuit is convoluted, difficult, irregular, and challenging.
The circuit rendition for rFactor seems also somewhat incomplete: Your vehicle can through too many textures (walls, vehicles, etc.). There is, admittedly, lots of graphical detail in the circuit; graphic quality, per se, is good, but the graphics are a mixed bag of good and bad.
The entrance onto the race circuit, from the pitstop, is as complex, long, and difficult as any circuit I have ever raced in any PC game. The background mountains are fairly well rendered...but the mountain vistas are somewhat grainy and low quality...
I like the fact that "Miller Motorsports Park" is somewhat long.....but for me it simply isn't that fun of a circuit to race.....and overtly complicated, etc.
Being Utahn, I really wanted to keep this circuit; it is quite interesting and has its strong points...however, for a variety of reasons, it isn't quite a 'keeper'...
