LA Canyons 1.2
A lot has been done since 1.0 including...
Tyremarks over pretty much all the 115km's of roads (Groove overlays)
These rubber in as more completed laps are completed.
Added road details, such as road cracks, tar patches, drains, manhole covers...

Most layouts (where possible) have 'stage' timing, so that after returning to the pits and re-crossing the start line, the timer will reset. The timer will also not start counting as soon as you load into a session.
Lots of optimisations have been done, removing over 750,000 polys... Where possible more objects have been layered / LOD'd. In this process all previous mesh holes have been stitched along all 115km's of roads.
Textures and materials have also been optimised.

More Dynamic Air Objects have been added... So now there are not just balloons! Various wildlife native to the area can be seen... And many more things....

Too many changes to mention... But basically thousands of added objects... Traffic One Way Layouts... For VIP's Mount Wilson layouts, guard rails for all roads, more road signs, distance / direction signs... Angeles Crest East / West layouts!
This small update is mainly fixes.

Track Cameras for Reverse layout, with tweaked reverse AI line,
New 4k dirt textures,
Other minor fixes... Including Smokey :)
An la_canyons root folder... sorry for any incovenience caused

Note: 0.8 and 0.81 are completely compatible online...

Around 600,000 foliage objects to start with... and countless other details which we will let you discover for yourselves :)

High resolution road meshes for the entire main loop area.
to capture the bumps and dips over 42km+ at one stage I was using 110 million polys... Then optimised back to a more reasonable 1.8 million. Race cars may need suspension tweaks.
(I will be working on the extra roads meshes in the coming weeks)

Track cameras for the normal loop... I've copied the same cameras.ini into all the other layouts... So if you know what you're doing. There are ways to have cameras for the other layouts as well.

Many other Easter Eggs... placed around... you may need a 4x4 to find them :D

Anyone struggling to run this...
Try lowering your World Detail Slider.
As this is an absolutely massive track!

Added streamlined maps (To fix 4 second lag issues) cheers @correca
Added Basic Track Cameras... only 1 camera... to prevent F3 crash.
Corrected Normal layout AI track boundaries.
Added first version of @Ben O'Bro 's awesome rocks.
Added Freeroam Distant map with 60 pit boxes spread around the area.
Added Pursuit layout... With two groups of cars... One at the regular start area... One at the Hidden Springs tunnel.
Added lists of Pit Box locations & Area Map to the layouts that need clarification, in case anyone with a server wishes to put a specific car at a particular place.

Many thanks to @shmafoozius for working out the large map size was the lag issue,
@CobraCat @AccAkut and people in the support thread for testing :)

If you have LA Canyons 0.5 it should be ok to overwrite
Will issue a small update for the extra roads soon.
If you have the extra roads... don't overwrite (or backup and replace) rc2.kn5

This is a complete rework of the Canyons...
New terrain geometry & textures
New road meshes, more accurate road position and width... with passing lane sections, 4 lane sections & new textures.
New tunnel,
A bridge,
Guardrails, Roadsigns including lots of chevrons,
Concrete Barricades.....

3 layouts,
Normal - 32 Pits
Reverse - 32 Pits
Freeroam - 125 Pits... although I'd recommend 50 - 60 max.

High Res FFB meshes will be done for the main loop in time.
And no track cameras as yet... No point me doing them yet... only for something to block their view later on.

Huge thanks to @correca for the AI lines and maps for the Normal and Reverse layouts, and saving me time to work on other things :)
