A member of the community has provided VR fixes to users by going into the ext_config.ini file and changing the lines:
[DRIVER3D_HIDE_OBJECT_0]
NAME=DRIVER:HELMET1985
over to the updated text which is now
[DRIVER3D_HIDE_OBJECT_0]
NAME=DRIVER:HELMET
Aall of the drivers ext_config.ini files now reflect this change which has now permanently fixed the VR issue where the helmet would be blocking the view of the user while in cockpit camera view.
Another further fix was done to Grosjean's ext_config.ini file which now hides the driver's face while in cockpit cam which was also missing.
Changelog version 2.2:
- Fixed an error where the 3D model for Alex Albon's helmet failed to load
- This was done by modifying the ext_config.ini file for Alex Albon's skin and removing the "_1" typo in the now newly edited "NAME=rh_arai_helmet_driver_19" line of code.
You can apply the effects of this update by removing the "_1" on the second line of ext_config.ini file of Alex Albon's car. This .ini file can be found by right-clicking Alex Albon's skin icon while having the Formula Hybrid 2020 car selected in the "Content" tab of Content Manager. There will be an "Open Folder" option on the menu pane that pops up that will take you to the folder where this .ini file is locateed.
If you have downloaded version 2.0, then please make sure to overwrite any files when updating to this version of the mod.
Changelog 2.1:
- Over 300mb of currently unsupported ASCPRH helmet .kn5 files have been removed from the mod.
- Includes the 5 new ACSPRH 4.0 kn5 files instead of the old 3.0 ones
- New supported materials for ACSPRH helmets
PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE THE NEWEST VERSION OF CUSTOM SHADERS PATCH INSTALLED!
It is required to have a newer version of CSP shaders to have the helmet and tire textures work correctly.
Changelog Version 2.0
- Updated Merc
- Hamilton's car is now updated to Portimao Spec
- Updated Williams
- Both cars are Portimao Spec
- Recompressed 2020_Chassis_P textures to DXT5 Uncompressed format without mipmaps to save over
200 megabytes of space from the default textures for better optimization without loss of quality.
- ACSPRH Real Helmets Updated to Version 4.0
- Face geometry is now hidden
- (This should help to prevent VR users from experiencing
an issue with the face geometry of the driver obscuring
the vision of the user with the use of ACSPRH helmets)

Timothy "TheSourceOfTheNile" Mikolaichik's Message to the Assetto Corsa community:
The year of 2020 has been quite eventful for the world and the sport of Formula One, and the creation of this project with the community has provided to be a great experience to have. My goal for this mod was to provide a convenient, optimized, and easy install that would allow more people to have access to the highest-quality F1 grid that I could make. I never would have expected the mod to have over 15,000 downloads, or to have a sizable portion of the F1 sim-racing community using the skin pack as their main source of finding the skins on RaceDepartment. This skin pack was the most downloaded skin mod of the year, and is on the way to becoming the most downloaded F1 skin mod ever. I am absolutely astounded by this, and all I have to say is thank you sincerely to everybody who has contributed to the project over this year, and to the community for using this mod.
The skin pack has now been updated to support the brand new tires included in the V3 update to the Formula Hybrid 2020.
Installation:
1. Install the V3 updated version of the Formula Hybrid 2020.
2. Delete or move any 2020 F1 team skins located in
c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\Common\assetto corsa\content\cars\rss_formula_hybrid_2020\skins before installing
3. Delete or backup all of the files in the "extension" folder located in
c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\Common\assetto corsa\content\cars\rss_formula_hybrid_2020\extension before installing
4. Confirm the overwrite of any files and to merge any folders\.
5. Make sure you are using content manager and shaders so that the helmets and tires load into your game. If you do not have them they can be found here https://assettocorsa.club/content-manager.html
Changelog:
- Tire textures by davewilliams000
- Tires textures exported using RSS recommended tire texture compression techniques (ARGB 8.8.8.8 32 bpp)
- Tire textures for the new "Visual Wet" tire compound
- Tire textures supporting and compatible with the V3 update to the Formula Hybrid 2020
I have made sure to only include the textures for the tires currently being used in the 2020 season, so I have made sure that the most commonly used compounds in most Formula One weekends (C2, C3, C4) to have their respective colors. The alternative C1 and C5 compounds are kept as red and white.
The following tire compounds are colored as such:
- C1 Ultrahard (White)
- C2 Hard (White)
- C3 Medium (Yellow)
- C4 Soft (Red)
- C5 Ultrasoft (Red)
- VW Visual Wet (Wet Blue)
Note: The tires from this mod are only compatible with the V3 updated version of the Formula Hybrid 2020 mod.
Please make sure to delete the old skins from the steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\cars\rss_formula_hybrid_2020\skins folder before installing the mod!

Please make sure to delete the old skins from the steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\cars\rss_formula_hybrid_2020\skins folder before installing the mod!
This update includes Haze Racing Design's new and improved Renault R.S.20 that matches the current paint scheme ran in the 2020 F1 season.
A typo in Daniel Ricciardo's name was also fixed so it reads out his full first and last name in the menus and during gameplay.
Please make sure to delete the old skins from the steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\cars\rss_formula_hybrid_2020\skins folder before installing the mod!
A few users were experiencing crashes due to incompatibilities in some of the 2017_detail_d.dds texture files. These issues have been rectified.
Changelog:

- New logos on steering wheels for all cars
A very special thanks to uncajesse for providing tons of help with this update and finding the solution to the crashes that some users were experiencing!
Please make sure to delete the old skins from the steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\cars\rss_formula_hybrid_2020\skins folder before installing the mod!
Thanks to the feedback of multiple users of the pack over the past month, I figured that I'd update the pack to order the skins by their team results from the 2019 constructors championship with the primary drivers showing up first, and the secondary (yellow T-cam) drivers showing up after their teammate.
The folders have also been renamed to order the skins in the menus. The new naming system also includes the driver number, name of the team, and car model.
Kamiklaasie updated the Red Bull so I included the updated skin in the pack.
The Ferrari's mipmaps have also been removed for better performance.
Please make sure to delete the old skins from the steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\cars\rss_formula_hybrid_2020\skins folder before installing the mod!
Changelog:
3 Teams Have Now Been Updated to Their Current F1 Specifications
- New Ferrari made by Leo_95
- Updated Mercedes by Haze_Design
- Updated AlphaTauri by TheSourceOfTheNile
This update includes the new and improved McLaren by Marco17_ok featuring the updated skin and crew textures in his mod.
The T-Cam colors on the cars of Leclerc, Bottas, Norris, and Magnussen weren't yellow like how they are now in the current season, so I updated the skins and previews to bring these secondary cars to their current mid-season spec.
Please make sure to delete or overwrite your ext_config.ini folder located in D:\PC Games\Assetto Corsa Mods Backup\F1 2020 Community Skinpack\F1 2020 Community Skinpack\content\cars\rss_formula_hybrid_2020\extension to fix the tire bug if you've already installed the mod!
Fixed tire bug that would prevent tire textures from being swapped while in game. Also added the new McLaren livery by Marco17_ok.
