Hi all,

These are my ERP/XML settings for F1 24, V1.8. Scroll down to the first bold text line for how to install this mod, the next few paragraphs are just for background info/might answer questions.

I wasn't happy with the base game settings and have basically spent most of my game time (96.3 hours), editing the world physics (compression), damage physics and tyre compound files to have a more enjoyable time. Changes made are the same across all teams, including your "create a team". Individual car performance has not been altered.

These settings have been tested and seem to work in new and saved Career modes and Grand Prix. They will not work online. To play online, verifying your game files will put everything back to stock and should work.

I am by no means a pro at playing F1, these are just the settings I am enjoying for my gameplay style and just wanted to do my first post on here. For me it feels quite different to stock settings and there may be an adjustment period, especially with damage and turning into/coming out of corners.

As I have only done testing for this mod, I do not know how it will affect results in career mode. This mod does not currently focus on individual car nerfing/boosting.

Having looked into how SERPs work, I have also included a "SERPs version", and a "SERPs and the individual files version" so Red Bull and the FOM cars have the same tweaks as the other cars, working as intended. Having tested the FOM car in "Grand Prix" mode, it needs the same treatment as Red Bull to work properly.

I have edited the SERPs performance template from here,
https://www.overtake.gg/downloads/f...erps-release-your-own-performance-mods.71362/
if you haven't used SERPs before and you want to, please click on the link for instructions on how to set SERPs up and then come back here.

If you don't want to use SERPs, you don't have to, use method 1 below.

Installation method note for different mod setups.

Only need to copy and paste one folder into the main f1 24 directory and then click replace.

Which mod method is for you?
Method 1.
If you don't know or don't want to use the SERPs modding method. All cars have individual XML/ERP files.

Method 2. If using SERPs, this seems the best method for now. Use this method for the mod to run across all cars using the SERPs method and don't mind individual XML/ERPs for Red Bull and the FOM car.

Method 3. Strictly for only using SERPs. Red Bull and FOM cars are not applying the values properly at this stage. Mainly with puncture wear from what I have tested. Would recommend method 2 if using SERPs at this time.

How to get it working:
1.
Unzip ZIP folder
2. Depending on what modding method you want to use, copy only one desired folder from the list below
3. Paste in " *:\*\Steam\steamapps\common\F1 24 "
4. Yes to replace files

Method 1. For those not using SERPs at all
Folder Name: "Individual Version Including XMLs"

Go into the "Individual Version Including XMLs" folder, copy the "2024_asset_groups" and paste it. Click replace (for 14 files).
Run the game.

Method 2. For those using SERPs and individual files for Red Bull and FOM car

Folder Name: "SERPs + RB and FOM Individual Versions"

Go into the "SERPs Version" folder, copy the "2024_asset_groups" folder and paste it. Click replace (for 5 files).
Run the game.

Method 3. For those using SERPs only - Red Bull and FOM car will not perform and/or have the same damage as other cars.

Folder Name: "SERPs Version"

Go into the "SERPs Version" folder, copy the "2024_asset_groups" folder and paste it. Click replace (for 1 file).
Run the game.

Changes from default settings I have focused on:

Reducing the front end so it isn't as sharp/on rails turning in.

DRS Trains
With the reduced front end changes, there seems to be a reduction in DRS trains, or at least bigger gaps earlier on in races. I haven't played races long enough to test this properly.

ERS settings have not been changed yet, however may be looked into later.

Increased damage on Simulation damage:
Front wings now break apart in segments, depending on speed and angle of impact. Occasionally you will get lucky and have no/little damage.

Tyres now puncture easier with running over debris, impacts with other cars and walls:
In a lot of cases, the tyre will puncture before the suspension breaks, but a big enough impact/angle will damage the tyre or break the suspension. Front tyres are more likely to puncture than rears. Front wing damage can puncture your own tyres, more so the front.
Increased the duration from puncture to burst. You can have 2 tyres punctured at a time, so far haven't been able to move afterwards though.

Decreased Slip Angle:
Going over curbs, grass, gravel etc and accerating quickly, will increase the likelihood of spinning out.
Found when not engaging ERS, setting it to "NONE" will help with not spinning out while accelerating out of a corner. If you have it engaged, expect a higher spin out rate (on controller at least).

(Focused on while editing the reduced front end settings, may be slightly too decreased.)

Tyre compound wear decreased:
Have tried to scale it so they are in line with the decreased slip angle changes and also so they last slightly longer than stock. Have not edited individual compound grip levels yet.

Tyre Visuals:
Increased the amount and duration of grass, gravel and marbling that appears on the tyres.

Side Notes:
I have tested these settings on controller and a racing rig. I won't comment on wheel setups but for controller users I found increasing the steering saturation to at least 10, will help with getting around hair pins, like in Monaco. Even with everything stock, the steering saturation had to be increased for my controller to get around corners.

I have included the edited XML files in the individual team folders if you want/know how to edit them. Having them there made it so much easier/quicker for me to make small changes and test them.

Apologies for the long winded post. (Edited to include update notes)
Hope whoever tries this mod, finds it enjoyable. Would love to hear other peoples thoughts on it and how they went with it.
If you enjoy and think others might as well, all I ask is you point them here.

Still in the process of checking, i will delete if i was wrong about this, but after i installed the mod the breaks on my car barely worked, me pressing fully on the breaks only somehow translated to a very slight input. I remapped the break, restarted the game etc and the issue persisted.
Mod is spot on, for me thoes tweaks are more than enough to finnaly enjoy the game <3 god bless
