Requirements (tested with):
- Latest Sol 2.2.1 (or above)
- CSP 0.1.75 (or above)
This filter takes advantage of the Sol Custom Config values, so I don't suggest using different controller/weather scripts in Weather FX.
Please reset the Sol Custom Config app to its default values. (The big button below on the first page of the app).
My take on a color-neutral filter, intended for both driving and photography. Make sure to read the bold letters above and the tips/extras for the best experience. Feedback is appreciated!
- Calibrate your monitor
- Use low sun angles
- Avoid bad mods and use good mods, the biggest impact on gameplay. If you have some spare time read up on the Girellu Repository.
- Install the AC Texture Color Corrections in the Sol discord, color corrections for the Kunos tracks.
- These pictures have tiny amounts of chromatic aberration that I have configured to my liking. By default, I have turned it off since it's a big hit or miss for each user. (Probably because everyone uses different resolutions and anti-aliasing methods when playing).
You can turn it on by right-clicking the filter in the Photo Mode/Post Process Filter app(s) and enabling it in the Chromatic aberration tab. Save the changes in the editor and make sure to "reset Sol" in the Sol Planner app (the red button top right) for the effects to be applied.
Note: You are only able to see the chromatic aberration when you are in the F3 (TV) cam or F6 (onboard) cam. To see it when moving freely (F5/F7) you will first have to switch to F3/F6 and then to F5/F7.
If you really wanted it to be active everywhere then head on over to Content Manager > Settings > Custom Shaders Patch > Neck FX. Enable it and tick the Chromatic aberration checkbox under Visual effects.
- This filter was developed with the use of 2D clouds. You can change this on page 7 of the Sol Custom Config app, set the "cloud render method" to 0.
- My last update brought back the possibility to change the sky blue preset, you can change this on page 6 of the Sol Config App.
Stay safe!
