Yesterday, I watched portions of the "Dutch Formula 1 Grand Prix" on ESPN. I haven't owned an official Formula 1 PC game in many years....consequently, a lot has changed over the past 15 years or so...there are many new circuits that didn't exist the last time I had a Formula 1 PC game......and "Circuit Zandvoort" in the Netherlands is one of them...
My impressions of this Dutch circuit, having downloaded Circuit Zandvoort and raced it for the first time ever -- is that it is 'slightly derivative' (including with the addition of the Ferris Wheel, a nice modern touch that is more and more becoming common on newer Formula 1 circuits), but this circuit is wide open, somewhat distinct....and has a nice flow. As Charles Bronson would say"........not 'GREAT'......but 'PRETTY DAMN GOOD'......"
As for the rFactor rendition of Circuit Zandvoort. The graphical textures are good, but not the best quality. Framerate is decent. Replay angles are good, but at times obfuscated, depending on the location of the track.
