Glad to see your work. Aside from all the nitpicking, you have done well! Looking forward to future developments you have for thos mod. Thank You
Finally a free Indycar/CART mod, from an old era.....this is will be great....but I found 2 small bugs but I think it will be fixed in the upcoming updates....Thank you very much
Thank You So Much!!!!!!!!!!! Ive been wanting another Indycar mod for 3 years now and we finally have another one!!!!!! YESSSSSSSSS
Looking good!
I'd say you should remove the unnecessary files, like the .backup files created by CM.
Also, you should create LODs: I know Simplygon is paid now, but you can use some free blender plugin to do the thing (personally i like EasyLOD) because LODs are necessary for people with potato pc's like me lol.
Thank you for your effort!

Thanks for the feedback, I had tried a "manual" method and LODcreator plug-ins and neither had produced good results in terms of file sizes. I'll definitely try EasyLOD

The driving is really solid and a lot of fun! Just a little disappointed there aren't any LODs. When SimplyGon had a free license I could've had Content Manager make them for me, but haven't figured out another way just yet. So I hope to see LODs in a future update. Also, I noticed most of the car folders had kn5.backup files for the car model, some bigger than the car model even. Unless these serve some purpose I'm not aware of, they're bloating the download file and used storage space significantly. I've deleted them.

Thanks for the feedback, I will try the lod method mentioned above as my previous ones weren't yielding good results. As for the redundant files, thanks I'll do a cleanup for the next release.
Not bad looking, fun to drive, fun to race, just pure fun. You're no RSS (but then who could be outside that whole group of mod teams: URD, VRC etc) however compared to what is available in terms of 80's-90's Indycar, only the VRC 1999 goes past what you've provided us here. Hope to see continued development & maybe as well other years!

Just been playing it. after 1 lap that terrible sound reused from the bad 1995 mod is impossible to get used to, so had to go to content manager and replace sounds with vrc 1999 mod, which sounds 100% better. i hope you will develop the mod, as at the moment it isnt that good, many little things like the previous commentator mentions. no good camera angles. i think with some work you can get it to 5 stars, as you now have a good base to work with.
Want to preface by saying I appreciate the effort that goes into converting mods to AC and it's nice to have these cars represented.

However there are some big issues here, some of which are not your fault but many are fixable.

- 6 Different engines, but only the Porsches have different statistics. All statistics are wrong based on the values I could find in a quick google. This may just be how it is presented in CM.
- This may not be your fault, however all the engines are chevrolet V8 models, with twin turbos. These cars were not twin turbo, and not all V8s.
- Likewise some of the cockpits are very strange with extremely low steering wheels, but that may not be your fault or fixable.
- None of the engines have any textures, apart from one texture reading "Chevrolet" on all cars.
- All the engines have the same sound despite some being different types in real life.
- Light shines through the cockpit. This can be fixed by setting the shadow casting of the objects properly in kseditor.
- Windscreens are not transparent. This can be fixed by setting the screen object to allow transparency in kseditor.
- Almost all driver models have been positioned poorly, with feet going through the floor into the ground. They are all too tall, especially on the Porsche, where if you look in real life the driver chin is not visible from the side, whereas here you can see his shoulders. You can fix a lot of this with CM Showroom's driver moving feature.
- Driver model placement is inconsistent even between cars where the model is not changing.
- no LODs.
