  • 1.3.2
    • Now the app resets MIN, MAX and AVG fps when entering pause menu (when leaving it, it restarts calculating them after the given delay)
  • 1.3.1 (Previous update)
    • It happens that in the very first seconds AC starts there are (mainly low) peaks that affect the stats, so I introduced a delay to when the app starts calculating and saving MIN, MAX, and AVG FPS (not because I'm too lazy to push the reset button, it's just annoying using a mouse in VR).

Default is set to 5 seconds, but can be changed through CM settings
So, after a looong time I'm finally back to AC.
Since I use it in VR, for me is very important to see current, average and min FPS.

It happens that in the very first seconds AC starts there are (mainly low) peaks that affect the stats, so I introduced a delay to when the app starts calculating and saving MIN, MAX, and AVG FPS (not because I'm too lazy to push the reset button, it's just annoying using a mouse in VR).

Default is set to 5 seconds, but can be changed through CM settings:

P.S. latest version published here was 1.2.4 but I found a 1.3 on my PC, so maybe two years ago I changed something else I can't remeber now :)
Someone could have already got this update through Content Manager, I forgot to update the app here too.

What's changed:
  • adjusted fps label position (a few pixels but it was making me nervous seeing it unaligned...)
  • visibility per display (you can now set the app's visibility for each desktop/desktop/panel... or however these are called

    )

Maybe someone doesn't know it (it's been available since forever I think) but you can set the colors of the FPS label depending on the FPS value.
e.g. With default settings it will be green above 89 fps, yellow from 69 to 88 fps, orange from 44 to 68 fps and red below 44 fps.

A small update,
  • changed all images to dds
  • modified reset and graph buttons to be less intrusive with no background (no more button-like images but flat white images)

Cheers!

  • ver. 1.1
    • Added resizable User Iterface
    • Added FPS warning colors

Now you can choose the UI size (it resizes both the compact and the extended UI).
You got four options: Small, Medium [default], Large, Huge

You can also set below which fps the current FPS label changes color to yellow, orange and red (defaults are 89, 69, 44 fps) so to have visual warnings.

H
ey,
after latest update to BLM Lights - where I introduced the new compact FPS User Interface - I thought it would have been nice to have it as a stand-alone app, so that people could use it alone or together with, let's say, the compact BLM Lights app.

So here it is: BLM Fps
This app will allow you to monitor the FPS statistics, providing you with:
  • current FPS
  • minimum FPS
  • maximum FPS
  • average FPS
  • FPS graph
  • leds (green/red) that indicate if you're above or below a given % from the average fps (default is 10%)
It comes with a compact
blm-fps-comp.png

and an extended UI
blm-fps-ext.png

The graph can be hidden/shown and the statistics can be reset with the two buttons provided.

You can cusomize the app going in the settings (content manager > settings > apps > BLM Fps):
blm-fps-settings.png

From here you can set:
  • User Interface style (compact/extended)
  • show/hide background
  • colors for all values
  • hide/show graph on start
  • range for the graph (min and max fps)
  • variation from avarage that will be used to lit the green/red leds
  • hotkey to reset the FPS values (default ALT+P)

In a next update I'll make the UI resizable for those of you with nice monitors :)

Should you ever wanted to offer me a (cold) beer
