And if some of you wonder how to make the trees stay visible all of the time and at greater distance (ie other side of the lake) it can be done without editing of the models

That paragraph may be added into "..\extension\config\tracks\loaded\lakelouise_208.ini". If there's need to restore some performance after making all trees visible, remove "Skinny?" or set LOD_OUT=4200
