My memory as a young boy is “John Player Special” that black en gold on the Lotus cars. While seeing the 78 and 79 models nowadays it’s more yellow, but in my memory it was gold.
I always loved the designs of Formula 1 cars except for:
the 1968-1976 period with that ugly snorkel and spoilers
after 1992 period with all those diffusers/ spoilers everywhere and those under-nose bulldozer blade.
But the most ugly car ever is is in my opinion: Ferrari from 1979/80
