With the World Tour Showdown run and won, the road to the World Final, now confirmed to be at Monaco, begins. The 12 finalists at the Showdown have a place reserved for them in the Nations Cup already. For everyone else, an online battleground awaits, with 3 slots in the finals available per region (6 for EMEA).

As for Manufacturers Cup, the slate is wiped clean in terms of qualified teams and drivers; the only thing that carries over is who all existing competitors will be attempting to qualify for in season 2. This was a questionable decision, as it means that anyone who wants to race for the newly debuting Suzuki has to use an alternate account if they already raced in season 1.

Here are the other format details;

- 8 rounds per cup (best 4 results in each counting).
- 5 timeslots per round, per region.
- Race score determined by finishing position and strength of lobby (higher DR = more points to race for)
- Round score determined by the result of the last race a competitor does for the round.

With weekly races on Friday and Saturday, the online season is set to conclude on October 1. Then a field consisting of 24 drivers for Toyota GT Cup, 30 drivers in Nations Cup, and 36 drivers in Manufacturers Cup, will be finalised and be set to compete in Monaco on November 25-27.

Like before, I will try to cover what is happening in both cups in some detail, as well as keep everyone updated on the final rounds of the Toyota Cup.
