Looking forward to first Q, after that I will know if the season will be worth it or not. 
First race is always exciting. I remember being stoked before the 1997 Melbourne GP. Went out clubbing, back at 4am
Could reigning champion Damon Hill somehow rise above the Arrows?
Could he kick sand in the face of Williams who'd dropped him?
Could man rise above machine in a great sporting story?
Nope, throttle problem and stopped on the formation lap. DNS + hangover
But we'll always have Hungary and Spa in the Jordan

The waiting is over let the good life begin .........with some( eu many sorry ) good races between Mercedes Ferrari and Red Bull hopefully .

I used to religiously watch F1 from year to year but in the last few years, I've found I tend to end up watching whilst working on the PC or doing some other work. It doesn't grip me like it used to. Sad but true.
I seem to like the diversity of Sportscar racing more now and that's where my enjoyment is. Sebring is gonna be a good one this weekend. Lots of diversity in classes and cars. Weather is looking unpredictable as well. I'll probably be enjoying a nice drink (or two) and watching that instead.
However for those that enjoy F1, fingers crossed 2019 is a good season

I am exited to see the cars in race trim and to see how they fair.
The track i am not a fan of as i don't like street races in general. Its better than Adelaide which was to tight. There will be a pile up after the lights as there always is a car struggling to get of the grid into turn 1 at any track. And then it will be a snooze fest to the flag.
Teams put the pressure on as the season progresses. Its basically a test session for race distance. Once the fly away's are over and when get to Spain teams know more about what they are doing and have most of the performance parts that they don't want to send the other side of the world due to the amount of money it costs. Only the big 3 AMG-Mercedes, Scudaria-Ferrari, Red Bull can send a full 2019 challenger. So the championship is in there favor from the start.

New, here, but I'm one of those silent followers. To be the top of the sport they make really stupid decisions, like adding a point for faster lap, sounds good, and then Locked it up to the Top team that already get ALL the points in the Top 10!! It is painful to watch the F1 losing money, and still making this kind of stupid decisions!I have no interest whatsoever. Halos, run off areas and engine sounds are bad enough, but the worst IMO is this..
Only in F1 could they ruin overtaking with DRS, keep it around for several years, change the regs to make cars finally follow each other more closely, but then make DRS even more effective!
Every pass this season will be done and dusted 300m before the corner. For a sport brimming with such intelligent minds it is run in a moronic fashion..

My best memory of this race was going to it in 2009. Jenson Button won in the Brawn GP car, but the biggest surprise was that The Who played a full free gig after the race in Albert Park.
Man, it was unreal. I knew nothing about it.
We went on to Crown Casino afterwards and won over $1,000 playing roulette. Granted, we spent about $1,500!

With the F1 heritage, it's an heresy to look forward to see boring, bureaucratic drivers driving boring cars. Meh.
I believe it was yes. I went to Silverstone in 1999 to watch Damons last British GP. Only GP I've ever been too. Led the race for one lap and the place erupted. Oh god, those 99 machines were epic, the amount of adjustments drivers were making just to get around one corner was really something.
You keep talking about how much pressure LEC can put on VET. I'm also excited about VER v. GAS, RAI v. GIO, and (drum roll) PER v. STR. I'm hoping for an amazing season by all of the rookies, a fabulous comeback tour from KUB, and seeing some occasional midfielders on the podium. But I think my eye will squarely be on Renault. Two very experienced drivers in a car that is almost there...should be exciting to see what they can do with it and how much they can affect the Top 3. And finally get Hulk his podium after 9 seasons.
