Weird Problem

I think this could be a graphics card problem but i start a game and it flashes over the screen with numbers and letters like properly big numbers and letters, about 5 or 6 rows of them and its constant which makes games unplayable. Or is it something more sinister because if it is then i give up on pc's

yeah thats what i was worried about, guess what its my 8800 not my ATi that i've been having problems with

Try it in another system, if it has the same symptoms the card is broken.
