The livery works for both versions of the car (it's packaged for the CSP version, so CM will install it for that one, but you can just copy the livery folder to the non-CSP version if you want to use it with that instead).

When loading the car into race, hotlap, practice etc, the drivers skin is just the default AC skin. Any idea why?

In the skin.ini try changing [driver] to [DRIVER] (or the other way round). I think the way this is recognized in CSP changes version to version.
The helmets, however, will be the default ones (just in different colors), since I don't like making them
