Sebastian Vettel had a rather embarrassing incident during build up to the Italian Grand Prix, crashing his Ferrari SF71H during a street demonstration in Milan.
Vettel, 31, momentarily lost concentration in front of the throngs of people attending at the Milan Festival earlier today, knocking his Ferrari Grand Prix car into the temporary circuit parameter, seemingly causing light damage to the front wing section and causing a bit of embarrassment to the Ferrari #1 - but certainly not enough to put off the wildly enthusiastic crowds attending the venue.
The F1 Milan Festival was opened earlier today as Italy celebrates the arrival of Formula One for the Italian Grand Prix at Monza this coming weekend. Running for four days, ending the Saturday of the Grand Prix weekend, the idea behind the event is to bring the fans closer to the world of Grand Prix racing on a specially designed street course in the Darsena area of Milan.
As well as Räikkönen, Vettel and Ferrari, the event is also set to see performances from Alfa Romeo Sauber and its drivers Charles Leclerc and Marcus Ericsson alongside the Toro Rosso team, represented by Pierre Gasly and Brendon Hartley. Let's hope they manage to keep the car out of the wall...
