Sorry, not a suggestion but a perspective here.
From the YT videos that talks about drifting and wheelbase (steering), such as JankyDrift or Kame Trick, G27 is considered an entry level wheelbase that provides a low level of force feedback and response. The consensus is that it is possible/do-able but not a preferred wheel for drifting. Since the wheel does not have enough force feedback and quick enough response the user needs to do extra work to help the wheel to point the car when the rear starts to come out. Good luck!
My suggestion is: Do what you can with what you have while saving your pennies for the next level up, such as Mozo R3 or Thrustmaster T-300 or whatever DD wheelbase you want.
