AC [US Server] Road Car Track Day @ Vallelunga - Friday, August 22nd

Assetto Corsa Racing Club event
Here's a chance for us to get both coasts together, with a casual trackday event. Practice, learn, teach, share, and socialize while we take our favorite tin tops around Vallelunga. For this event, there is no need to be present the entire time. If you can make the booking, and be present for a reasonable portion of the session, you can sign up. This will be only a practice session, which will give us a chance to learn from each other to become better racers.

If you think you may not be able to make the booking time, PM me the following form and I will pre-book you.

Let's fill up the grid! You can ask other drivers to race with you by using the tag function of the forum. Just type an @ directly followed by the user name and this person will receive a notification. Example @@RaceDepartment

Our racing clubs are foremost meant to gain online experience so please help other drivers out when they have questions about the event, the car, the track, the setup or a combination. This is not a league race, it's not about who wins, it's for some fun, so please join us on TeamSpeak and build a little community spirit! The more fun we make it, the more inclined people will be to join in and make the grids bigger.

Priority access
In case of a large amount of sign-ups premium members are given priority access to enter this event.

NOTE TO CLUB MEMBERS:
I would just like to remind everyone these club events are just for fun. No matter if you are posting record lap times, or if you are vastly off the pace, how fast or slow you are does not matter. As long as you are able to follow the rules, and be courteous towards other drivers, you have something to contribute as well as something to learn from others. Please don't be discouraged by how well you know the car or track. If you are someone who is normally competing for podiums, but you don't know the track, look at it as a test of your instincts and an opportunity for the slower members to place higher. I realise everyone wants to be competitive, but this results in lower sign ups as people tend to shy away from events they are not as fast in. So please, sign up for events you are slow in as well. This is all about the fun and the learning experience, leagues will come later for all the :alien:'s.

Might it potentially be a better idea to configure the server as a pickup server to eliminate the need to set up booking and also allow people to change cars if they're around for a lot of the session time? Just seems like that system is perfectly suited to track day like sessions. Prebooking cars is the only issue but isn't it possible to set a server for 32 cars and just have 2 or 3 of each car ready to go? I'm pretty sure having many Kunos cars on a Kunos track in a server shouldn't be too problematic, though I could be wrong :) If we do use the booking system, I'd like the Huayra please. :)

Sign me in please.

I'm going to take out a car I've not driven much, the Lotus 2/11.

I considered it, but the pickup system seems to create many problems. The biggest being the slower frame rate as a result of having all the extra cars loaded. Like I said, if anyone needs to be pre-booked, I'm happy to take care of it.

Sorry, but I cant do it tomorrow night. Wife and I are going to do dinner and a movie and will get back a bit too late.

lol, it looks like summer takes its tolls on sim racing :) I can't let you two have all the track for yourself, so sign me up.

I would take the Huayra beast for a ride, but I think that would be a little bit too fast for the 2-11, so I think I'll get the KTM instead.

Looking at the RSR times they are slower, though with the beast I might be off-track most of the time and be way slower than that :)

What about @Ryan Ogurek, I didn't see what car he chose.
