Trace Info help

I've recently installed
WTCC 2006-2007 Mod v2.0 for GTR2
converted from RACE07

The trace text is for a specific car, however, the game crashes on loading regardless of which car is selected. Could anyone help with the following trace text, and how to solve it :

vehgfx.cpp 2587: Entered VehGraphics::Init(GAMEDATA\TEAMS\WTCC_2007\VAUXHALL_VECTRA\VX RACING\..\VAUXHALL_VECTRA.CAS)
SteeringAnim 713: ShiftStickPosition not set in *.CAR file
AnimationAct 203: GMT and EFX meshes diff too much.

slot.cpp 284: Entered Slot::Init()
vehgfx.cpp 1332: Could not open
pitmod.cpp 197: Entered PitAction::Init
pitmod.cpp 268: Could not open USERDATA\LOG\vehgen.scn
vehgfx.cpp 2587: Entered VehGraphics::Init()
vehgfx.cpp 2631: Unable to read USERDATA\LOG\vehgen.scn: Error opening scene file name USERDATA\LOG\vehgen.scn
vehgfx.cpp 795: Could not open
vehgfx.cpp 2684: Could not find instance "SLOT001"

Thanks for any help

vehgen.scn is generated each time you go to a track, it contains the info for the cars selected for that session, and should be deleted when you exit the game or go to a different track; any issue with one of those cars will throw this error, as will a leftover vehgen from a previous session. SLOT001 seems to always be the problem, technically it should refer to the car in the first pit slot. vehgfx.cpp refers to vehicle graphics, also created at that time.

Look in your log folder, if there is a vehgen.scn there, delete it. And make sure your account has full permissions to all game folders; if vehgen is not created it will throw that error also.

Don't know about those animation issues, sounds like maybe not everything was converted properly.

Do you prefer licensed hardware?

  • Yes for me it is vital

  • Yes, but only if it's a manufacturer I like

  • Yes, but only if the price is right

  • No, a generic wheel is fine

  • No, I would be ok with a replica
